Greetings,
To all those who have made the effort to read this,
My gratitude reaches out to all of you.
The Indian Diplomatic Assembly wishes you a very warm and heartfelt welcome, as
it prides itself on becoming the most unique conference in Ahmedabad.
The main goals of the Indian Diplomatic Assembly are to prioritize thorough study
and careful thought and to provide each delegate with an equal and fair
opportunity to express their opinions on the agendas and we aim to host you to
the best of our abilities in our extremely limited time together.
As a student, it is our responsibility to work towards change, a change that our

planet deserves, a change that our fellow beings deserve and a change that our
future generations deserve. Model United Nations Conference is an impetus for
students to think like a diplomat and global citizens and work for change.
Your participation in this conference will be an excellent opportunity for you to
develop your skills in public speaking, negotiation, and diplomacy. Not only will you
get to engage with other students from different backgrounds and cultures, but
you will also have the chance to learn from experienced professionals in the field.
I urge you to speak up, innovate, and listen more than you hear at IDA 2023.

WHAT IS AN MUN
Model United Nations (MUN): A transformative simulation where students
become diplomats, debating global issues, drafting resolutions, and
cultivating skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and critical thinking. It
empowers the next generation to tackle real-world problems and
understand the complexities of international relations.
AND HERE’S REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD PARTICIPATE

Enhances Public Speaking and Communication Skills: MUN conferences require
delegates to deliver speeches, engage in debates, and communicate their ideas
effectively. This helps beginners build confidence in public speaking and improve their
communication skills.
Develops Research Skills: Delegates must research their assigned country's stance
on various global issues. This develops research and information gathering abilities,
which are valuable in academia and professional life.
Fosters Critical Thinking: MUN encourages critical thinking as delegates need to

United Nations Security Council (UNSC): The world's
paramount decision-making body, responsible for
maintaining international peace and security.
Comprising 15 member states, including five
permanent members with veto power.

advancements in terrorism; Ensuring
dormancy of terrorist groups
LOK SABHA
Lok Sabha: The lower house of the Indian

Parliament, representing the voice of the people in
a vibrant democracy. Comprised of elected
members from across India, Lok Sabha plays a
pivotal role in lawmaking, governance, and
representing the interests of citizens, shaping the
nation's policies and future.

Ensuring Integrity of Free and Fair
Elections in 2024, and requisite IPC
changes and constitutional amendments
UN WOMEN
In the fight for gender equality, UN Women stands
as the beacon of hope, advocating for women's
rights worldwide. With unwavering dedication, UNW
empowers women, challenges stereotypes, and
shapes a future where gender is no longer a
barrier to success.

Combating Violence Against Women in Conflict
Zones Discussing strategies to prevent and
respond to gender-based violence in conflict-
affected areas, including protection of women
and girls, and accountability for perpetrators
CONTINUOUS CRISIS COMMITTEE
A Continuous Crisis Committee is an MUN
simulation where delegates respond dynamically to
evolving, real-time global challenges. On-the spot
agendas make the committee ten folds more
exciting!

Cricket World Cup 2023, Subsequent Communal
Riots, Reactivation of Nuclear Bombs by North
Korea and other global crises
INTERPOL
International police organization facilitating global law
enforcement cooperation and crime-fighting through
information sharing and collaboration among member
countries. Interpol includes a photography and
evidence department to back the investigation.
