CHAPTER 6- LIMITATIONS AND SCOPE OF THE STUDY

Limitations of the Study:

Sample Size and Generalizability: The study's findings may be limited

by the size and representativeness of the sample population. While
efforts were made to ensure diversity in participants, the findings may
not be fully generalizable to broader populations due to potential
selection biases.

Data Collection Constraints: Constraints such as time, resources, and

access may have impacted the scope and depth of data collection. For
example, limited access to certain regions or groups may have resulted
in incomplete data or underrepresentation of specific demographics.

Reliance on Self-Reported Data: The study relies on self-reported data

from surveys and interviews, which may be subject to response biases
such as social desirability bias or recall bias. Participants may provide
responses they perceive as favorable or may inaccurately recall
information, leading to potential measurement error.

External Factors: External factors beyond the scope of the study, such
as economic conditions, policy changes, or unforeseen events, may
influence the effectiveness of Reliance Industries' employment and skill
development strategies, impacting the interpretation of findings.
30

Scope of the Study:

Geographic Scope: The study primarily focuses on Reliance Industries'

employment and skill development initiatives within specific
geographic regions or target demographics. The findings may not fully
capture variations in implementation or effectiveness across different
regions or contexts.

Temporal Scope: The study's analysis is based on data collected within

a specific time frame, and the findings may not reflect changes or
developments in Reliance Industries' strategies or external factors
beyond this period.

Industry-Specific Focus: The study primarily examines employment

and skill development strategies within the context of Reliance
Industries or a specific industry sector. The findings may not be directly
applicable to other industries or sectors with different operational
contexts or workforce dynamics.

Methodological Scope: The study employs a mixed-methods approach

combining quantitative and qualitative techniques. While this approach
provides a comprehensive understanding, certain aspects of the topic,
such as detailed economic impact assessments or longitudinal studies,
may require specialized methodologies beyond the scope of this study.
31

Policy Implications: The study may have implications for policy

development and corporate strategy in addressing youth unemployment
and advancing quality education goals. However, the specific policy
recommendations and their implementation fall outside the scope of this
study and may require further research and stakeholder engagement.

By acknowledging these limitations and considering the scope of the

study, researchers and stakeholders can interpret the findings
appropriately and identify opportunities for future research and
programmatic interventions to address youth employability challenges
effectively.
