INTRODUCTORY RITE

Lector: Please rise for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Celebrant: Brothers and sisters, we have come to celebrate the banquet of life
which has given us in the Eucharistic and so to witness the
celebration of love which Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae share in
the Sacrament of Matrimony. Let us pray.

Please all stand as the entrance song is sung or an instrumental music is played.

THE ENTRANCE
Celebrant: In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
People: Amen.
Celebrant: Dearly beloved, we have come together in the presence of God to
witness and bless the joining together of Earl Adonis and Jane
Althea Mae in the Holy Matrimony. The bond and covenant of
marriage was established by God in creation and our Lord Jesus
Christ adorned this wedding in Cana of Galilee. It signifies to us the
mystery of the union between Christ and His church, and Holy
Scriptures commends it to be honored among all people. The union of
husband and wife in heart, body and mind is intended by God for
their mutual joy, for the help and comfort give to one another in
prosperity and adversity; when it is God’s will, for the procreation of
children and their nurture in the knowledge and love of the Lord.
Therefore, marriage is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly,
but reverently, deliberately and in accordance with the purpose for
which it was instituted by God.

The celebrant addresses the congregation, especially the parents and sponsor.

Celebrant: Into this union of Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae now come to be
joined. If any of you can show just cause and why they may not be
lawfully married, speak now or else forever hold your peace.

If there is no alleged impediment the celebrant continues the celebration.

Celebrant: I require and charge both of you here in the presence of God, that if
either of you know any reason why you may not be united in marriage
lawfully or in accordance with God’s word, you do now confess it.
In the absence of an impediment the celebrant may continue.

THE DECLARATION OF CONSENT

Celebrant: Jane Althea Mae will you have Earl Adonis to be your husband; to
live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort
him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all
others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?
Jane Althea Mae:I will.
Celebrant: Earl Adonis will you have Jane Althea Mae to be your wife; to live
together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her,
honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all
others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?
Earl Adonis: I will.

The celebrant asks the congregation especially the parents and sponsors.

Celebrant: Will all of you witnessing these promises do all in you power to uphold
these two persons in their marriage?
People: We will.

The celebrant goes to his chair during the singing of a hymn, a psalm, or an anthem.

THE LITURGY OF THE WORD

The celebrant says to the people:
Celebrant: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Celebrant: Let us pray.

Oh gracious and ever living God, you have created us male and female
in your image for service. Look mercifully upon this man and this
woman who come to see you, seeking for your blessing, and assist
them with your grace, that with the true fidelity and steadfast love
they may honor and keep the promises and vows they make, through
Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of
the Hly Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
All: Amen.
THE FIRST READING
Reader: The 1st reading is taken from the book of Genesis, chapter 1 verses 26-
28.

Then God said, “And now we will make human being; they will be like
us and resemble us. They will have power over the fish, the birds and
all animals, domestic and wild, large and small.” So, God created
human beings, making to be life himself. He created them male and
female, blessed them, and said, “Have any children, so that your
descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their
control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds and the wild
animals.”

This is the word of the Lord.

THE SECOND READING

Reader: The 2nd reading is taken from the First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians,
chapter 13 verses 1 to 6.

I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of

angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than noisy gong or
a clanging bell. I may have the gif of inspires preaching; I may have all
the knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith
needed to move mountains – but if I have no love, I am nothing. I may
give everything I have and even give up my body to be burned – but if I
have no love, this does me no good. Love is patient and king; it is not
jealous, or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or
irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with
evil, but with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and

Celebrant: But in the beginning of creation, God made male and female and
because of this, man has to leave his father and mother and be joined
to his wife and two shall become one body. Therefore let no one
separate what God has joined.

THE HOMILY

THE MARRIAGE VOWS

The couple faces each other in holding hands.
Earl Adonis: In the name of God, I, Earl Adonis A. Laspiñas take you Jane Althea
Mae L. Godoy to be my wife, to have and to hold you from this day
forward, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in
health, to love and to cherish you, until we are parted by death. This
is my solemn vow.
Jane Althea Mae:In the name of God, I, Jane Althea Mae L. Godoy take you Earl
Adonis A. Laspiñas to be my husband, to have and to hold you from
this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in
sickness and in health, to love and to cherish you, until we are parted
by death. This is my solemn vow.

Lector: Rings, coins and bible, please come forward for the blessing.

Celebrant: Bless and sanctify, Oh Lord, this rings, coins, Bible and flower and
those who and give and received this will always be under your power
and faithfully in their vows. Amen.
THE GIVING OF RING
The groom places the bride’s ring finger and says the following while an appropriate song
shall serve as background.
Earl Adonis: Jane Althea Mae, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, and with
all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you, in the name of God.
Jane Althea Mae:I accept this ring, for wherever you go, I will go; wherever you stay, I
will stay; your people will be my people and your God will be my God.
Wherever you die, I will die, there will I be buried, and the Lord do so
to me, and more also, if ought but death part you and me.

THE GIVING OF COINS

The groom gives the coins to the bride.
Earl Adonis: Accept these coins as pledge that all my worldly goods with you I
share. Think not this is to purchase you, for a woman’s heart can only
be won by another heart. Accept them as a token of my solemn pledge
to forsake now and ever the vain frivolities of youth; to dictate myself
to honest labor for the prosperity and happiness of our family; and
forever seek the blessings of God upon our love and home.
Jane Althea Mae:I take them most willingly beloved husband, together with your noble
pledge to labor for our home.
Jane Althea Mae:In return, I offer you this ring and these flowers, as tokens, that from
this moment on I give you my heart, promising to be you, a loving
wife, obedient and faithful. May the Lord bless our love, and never
deny us His everlasting protection. Amen.

THE GIVING OF THE BIBLE

Celebrant: Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae, receive this Bible. The Bible
contains the words of God. One cannot live by bread alone, but by
every word that comes from the mouth of God. Let God’s word be truly
a lamp to your feet and a light to your path that your joy may be
complete.
Couple: We receive this Bible with great gladness because we know fully well
that it contains all things necessary to salvations.
The couple kneels for the placing of nuptial veil and cord.
The sponsors shall light the nuptial candles.
Celebrant: Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae, receive the light of Christ as one-
together with God’s community. Christ is the true light that enlightens
everyone, and you are the light of the world. Let your light shines
before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to
our Father in heaven.
The veil sponsor shall drape the veil to the couple.
Celebrant: Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae, receive the veil placed upon you
symbolizes God’s holiness bestowed upon you as one flesh. Further,
the veil upon the head of the wife stands for obedience and humility;
and the veil upon the shoulders of the husband stands for
responsibility for keeping the marital relationship pure.

May God grant you pureness of living all the days of your life. Amen.
The cord sponsors shall place the cord on the couple.
Celebrant: Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae, the nuptial cord placed upon you
symbolizes the love of God that binds your bodies, hearts and souls
into one. Further, it symbolizes your unity with God and his people.
May God keep you together until all is fulfilled in His kingdom. Amen.

THE EXHORTATION TO THE PARENTS AND SPONSORS

The Celebrant addresses the parents saying:
Celebrant: Dear parents, the union of Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae mean
the coming together as one your two families. Shoe them the way of
harmonious living, that they may live fully and manifest a life in
decency and order for God’s greater honor and glory.
Parents: We will, the Lord being my helper.
The Celebrant addresses the sponsors saying:
Celebrant: Dear sponsors, in this Sacrament of Love, you have become foster
parents of Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae. Guide them in the path
of righteousness that they may prove to be good Christians as well as
upright and law-abiding citizens. Let your light shine before them,
that they may see your good works and give glory to our Father in
heaven.
Sponsors: We will, the Lord being my helper.

THE BLESSING OF THE COUPLE

The Celebrant blesses the joined hands of the couple, saying:
Celebrant: Now that Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae have given themselves to
each other by solemn vows, with the joining of hands and the giving
and receiving of rings, coins and other nuptial symbols, I pronounce
that they are now husband and wife, in the name of the Father, and
the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Celebrant wraps the newlywed couple’s joined hands with one end of his stole,
saying:
Celebrant: Those whom God has joined together let no one put as under.
All: Amen.

THE INTERCESSION
Lector: Please all kneel for the prayers of the faithful.
Leader: Let our response for every prayer be; “We pray You, hear us.”

Eternal God, creator and preserve of all life, author of salvation and
giver of all grace. Look with favor upon the world you have made, and
for which you Son gave his life, and especially upon Earl Adonis and
Jane Althea Mae whom you make one flesh in the Holy Matrimony.
Let us pray to the Lord.
All: We pray You, hear us.
Leader: Give them wisdom and devotion in the ordering of their common life,
that each may be to the other a strength in need, a counselor in
perplexity, a comfort in sorrow and a comparison in joy.

All: We pray You, hear us.
Leader: Grant their wills may be so knit together in your will, and their spirits
in your spirit that may grow in love and peace with you and one
another all the days of their life.

Leader: Give them grace when they hurt each other, to recognize and
acknowledge their fault, and to seek each other’s forgiveness and
Yours.

Leader: Make their life together a sign of Christ’s love to this sinful and broken
world, that unity may overcome estrangement, forgiveness heals and
joy conquer despair.

Leader: Bestow on them, if it is your will, the gift and heritage of children, and
the grace to bring them up to know you, to love you, and to serve you.

Leader: Give them such fulfilment of their mutual affection that they may
reach on love and concern for others.
Let us pray to the Lord.
All: We pray You, hear us.
Leader: Grant that all married persons who have witnessed these vows may
find their lives strengthened and their loyalties confirmed.

All: We pray You, hear us.
Leader: Grant that the binds of our common humanity, by which all your
children are united to one another, and the living to the dead, may be
so transformed by your grace, that your will may be done on earth as
it is in heaven; where, O Father, with your Son and the Holy Spirit,
you live and reign in perfect unity, now and forever.
Let us pray to the Lord.
Leader: We pray You, hear us.
Celebrant: Almighty and Eternal God, look down with favor upon your servant.
Grant them to remain faithful to you and to one another at the end of
a long and well-spent life, reward them with eternal happiness
together with their children and with all those who love them, we ask
these through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
All: Amen.

THE BLESSING OF MARRIAGE

Lector: Please all stand. Parents and principal sponsors, please gather around
the couple for the blessing. You are requested to hold a lighted candle
with your left hand and extend your right hand towards the couple.
The Celebrant together with the co-celebrant shall lead in saying the blessing in unison.
Celebrant: God, you have concentrated the covenant of marriage that in it is
represented the spiritual unity between Christ and His Church. Send,
therefore, your blessing upon these your servants that they may so
love, honor and cherish each other in faithfulness and patience, in
wisdom and true godliness, that their home may be a heaven of
blessing and peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
The parents and sponsors will go back to their respective seats and the celebrant blesses
the couple.
Celebrant: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, bless, preserve, and
keep you; the Lord mercifully with his favor look upon you, and fill
you with all spiritual benediction and grace; that you may faithfully
live in this life, and the ages to come, and have life everlasting. Amen.
The Celebrants sprinkle the couple with Holy water. The nuptial cord and veil are
removed. All must stand.

THE LITURGY OF THE SACRAMENT

THE SIGN OF PEACE
Celebrant: Brothers and sisters, we ae the body of Christ. In one spirit, we are all
baptized into one body.
All: Let us strive to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.
Celebrant: The peace of the Lord be always with you.
All: And also with you.
The people greet each other with the sign of peace.

THE OFFERTORY
Celebrant: Give the Lord the honor due to His Name, bring presents and come
into his courts.
I shall offer sacrifice of thanksgiving and call upon the Name of the
Lord.
Lector: Please all be seated.
An appropriate hymn shall be sung while the gifts are collected.
Lector: Please all stand. We call on the offers to bring their gifts to the altar.
Gifts: Everlasting God, You have given us all we have, your bounty supplies
all our needs we, your humble servants, offer you this token of our
gratitude for all your mercies. Amen.
Bread: Eternal God, you caused the grain to grow and from it we have made
this bread, we offer it to you, that it may become for us the bread of
life. Grant that we who shall receive it may be united in the bind of
love. Amen.
Wine: God Almighty, accept this wine we have made from your gifts, may it
become our spiritual drinks, hat we who shall receive it, may be
refreshed and renewed for your service. Amen.
Celebrant: Pray brothers and sisters, that our sacrifice may be acceptable to God,
the Father Almighty.
All: May the Lord accept the sacrifice, for the praise and glory of His
name, for our good and that of all His church.

THE GREAT THANKSGIVING

Celebrant: The merciful goodness of the Lord endures forever and ever upon
those who fear in Him, and His righteousness from generation to
generation.
All: Even on those who keep His covenant and remember His
commandments and do them.
Celebrant: The Lord has set His throne in Heaven; and His kingdom has
dominion over all.
All: Praise the Lord you angels of His, you mighty ones who do His bidding
and listen to the voice of his word.
Celebrant: Praise the Lord, all you hosts, you ministers of His who do His will.
All: Praise the Lord all you works of His; in all places of his dominion,
praise the Lord.
Celebrant: The Lord be with you.
All: And also with you.
Celebrant: Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to the Lord.
Celebrant: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It is right to give Him thanks and praise.
Celebrant: It is truly right; it is our duty and our joy, always and everywhere to
give thanks to you, O Lord, Holy Father, almighty everlasting God.

Because in the love of husband and wife, you have given us an image
of heavenly Jerusalem, adorned as a bride for he bridegroom, your
son Jesus Christ our Lord, who loves her and give himself for her, that
he might make the whole creation new.

Therefore, with the angels and archangels, and with the company of
heaven we joyfully proclaim your glory, evermore praising you and
saying.
All: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are
full of your glory, hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in
the name of the Lord, hosanna in the highest.
Celebrant: All glory is yours Almighty God Heavenly Father, for of your love and
mercy you have your only son Jesus Christ to take our nature upon
Him, and to suffer death upon the cross of our redemption. He made
there, by the one offering of himself, a full and perfect sacrifices for
the whole world; and he instituted and commanded us to continue a
memorial of His precious death and sacrifice, until His coming again.
 For in the night which he was betrayed, He took bread; and when he
had given thanks to you, He broke it, and gave it to his disciples and
said, “Take, eat, this is my body which is given for you; do this to
remember me.”

After supper He took the cup, and when he had given thanks, He gave
it to them and said: “Drink this, all of you; for this is my blood of the
New Covenant which is poured out for you and for many for the
forgiveness of sins. Wherever you drink it, do this to remember me.”

Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith.

All: Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again.
Celebrant: Therefor, Lord and Heavenly Father, we your humble servants
celebrate the memorial your son commanded having in remembrance
his blessed passion and precious death, his mighty resurrection and
glorious ascension, and looking for his coming in glory, we offer you
this bread of life and this cup of salvation.

And with these gifts we offer ourselves, asking you to accept upon
your heavenly altar, this sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. Gracious
Father, by the power of your Holy Spirit, bless and sanctify this bread
and wine, that may be to us the most precious body and blood of your
son Jesus Christ.

May we all who receive this Holy Communion be filled with your grace
and heavenly blessing, and be made one body with him, that he may
dwell in us and we in him.

And although we are not worthy to offer you any sacrifice, yet we ask
you to accept this our duty and service. Through Jesus Christ our
Lord, by Him and with Him, and in Him, in the unity of the Holy
Spirit, all honor and glory is yours, O Father Almighty, now and
forever.

Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Celebrant: As our savior Christ has taught us with confidence we now pray.
All: Our Father in heaven, holy be you name. Your kingdom come, your
will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against
us. Do not bring us to the test but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, the Glory is yours now and forever.

THE BREAKING OF THE BREAD

Celebrant: Lord, we ask you to deliver us from all evil and grant peace in our
time. By the help of your mercy keep us free from sin and safe from
anxiety, through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives, and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Celebrant: Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world,
Have mercy on us.

THE HOLY COMMUNION

All together: We do not presume, to come to your merciful Lord, trusting in our
own righteousness, but in your many great mercies. We are not
worthy to gather the crumbs under your table. But it is your nature
always to have mercy. Grant us, therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the
body of your dear son Jesus Christ, and to drink His blood, that we,
being renewed and strengthened by His life, may ever more dwell in
Him and Him in us. Amen.
Celebrant: This is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, happy
are those who are called to his supper. Take them in remembrance
that Christ died for you, and feed on him in your hearts by faith with
thanksgiving.

in heart and soul, live in harmony, fidelity and peace, and obtain
those eternal joys prepared for all who love you; for the sake of Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen.
Celebrant: The peace of God which surpasses all understanding, keep your hears
and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and His son Jesus
Christ our Lord. And the blessing of God Almighty: The Father, the

pronounce to all of you, to the parents, sponsors, and friends, that
you Earl Adonis and Jane Althea Mae, starting this day you are now
husband and wife.

Earl Adonis you may now kiss Jane Althea Mae, your wife.
