In pursuance of Rule-5(2)(a) of the Odisha Horticulture Service (Method of

Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules,2014, the State Government do hereby appoint
the following 34 candidates to the post of Assistant Horticulture Officer(Group-B) in
Horticulture Service who have been selected by the Odisha Public Service Commission,
Cuttack (vide OPSC letter No.9862/PSC dated.29.10.2022) during the year 2022 in the
Level-10 of Cell-I of Pay Matrix under Odisha Revised Scale of Pay Rules, 2017 and D.A
and other allowances as admissible to Govt. servants from time to time w.e.f. the date he/she
actually reports for duty. In case an adverse report is received, his/her services shall be
terminated forthwith in accordance with the provisions laid down in sub-clause (ii) of
clause(h) of Explanation under Rule-13 of Odisha Civil Services (Classification, Control and
Appeal) Rules,1962. Their services are subject to the following terms and conditions as per
Service Rules.

1. The appointments are purely temporary and terminable at any time without prior
notice and without assigning any reason thereof.
2. They shall be on probation for a period of two years from the date they actually
join in the post
3. They are posted to the places on exercise of their choice places of posting on the
date of counselling i.e. dt. 15.11.2022.
4. The period of probation shall count towards increment.
5. The appointee shall furnish a declaration at the time of his /her joining in the post
that there is no criminal antecedent / case pending against him/her. In case, it is
detected subsequently that there is a criminal antecedent / case pending against
him/her, he / she will be liable for termination from Government service.
