1 Introduction:
CAAS provides e-Services for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) and Flight
Crew (FC) examinations.
You will need to enter your CAPELS PID number to proceed. Once this has been
updated, your new username will be your CAPELS PID number.
You will need to log out and then log back in for your CAPELS PID number to
register on screen.
If you have already sat exams previously, your exam history will be imported upon
registration. Your account will only be auto-validated if the history import is
successful.
To register a new account, click on the home page of the Candidate Portal,
as shown below.
You will need to register with your CAPELS PID number. Your PID number, date
of birth and identity must be the same as your CAPELS details to ensure that the
registration is accepted.
As part of your registration, you may indicate your organisation. Please note that
by doing so, a request is automatically sent to the selected organisation to
request for membership. Upon approval of the membership by the organisation,
the organisation will be able to do the following:
If you do not wish to form the membership with the organisation, please leave
this section blank and click on to continue your registration.
If you have not sat any exams before, you will see the screen below. Click
“Submit” to proceed.
You will be able to access the e-Services by clicking on the Candidate Portal, as
shown below.
This will lead you to the login page where you will be asked to provide your
username (CAPELS PID number) and password.
To edit your identity details, click on the “Identities” tab as shown below.
If you wish to add a new identity, click on “Create New Identity” box. Another box
will appear for you to add your new identity type.
5 Changing Password:
You can change your password by clicking your name at the top of the page
when logged in, and then clicking "My Profile".
7 Managing Membership:
A membership may be formed between you and an organisation. You can
manage your memberships between you and your training provider by clicking
your name at the top of the page when logged in, and then clicking "My
Memberships".
The request for membership can be made either by you or the organisation. If the
request is made by the organisation, you will receive a notification to approve the
request to accept or reject the membership.
The membership is formed only after the request has been accepted. You can
view the status of a requested membership as indicated under ‘State’ as shown
below. The membership will expire after 2 years.
Please note that only one membership may be formed or requested with an
organisation. To change membership, you have to first cancel the existing
membership in order to request a new membership with another organisation.
Note: You can only have one membership with a training provider at any one
time.
The ‘State’ will change to approved when validated by the training provider.
Select the applicable training organisation from the dropdown list and click
“Request Membership”.
You will need to select the specialisation, licence type and exam subject which
you intend to book. Click "Next" to continue.
Please note that you will not be able to book an examination subject if you have
exceeded the maximum number of attempts within a period of time as
stipulated in the Singapore Air Safety Publication (SASP) Part 1 or SASP Part 2 or
Singapore Airworthiness Requirements (SAR) Part 66, as the case may be.
Select the venue for your examination sitting by clicking on each box to expand
and view the dropdown selection. Click "Next" to continue.
You can book a session by clicking one of the times shown and then clicking
"Confirm", which will appear once a session has been selected.
You will then have 10 minutes to complete your order, during which time other
products and services can be added to the shopping cart. To add other products
and services, click on "Continue Shopping". At any time, you can view the
contents of your shopping cart and finalise the order by clicking on "View Cart".
To manually clear the shopping cart, click "View Cart" and then click "Remove" on
the item you wish to remove.
You can extend the time limit if you wish to do so. This will restart the timer for
another 10 minutes.
Abandoned orders (such as where you exit before completing your purchase) will
be cleared after the time limit. If your time limit is exceeded, the system will clear
the cart and allow you to start again.
Click on the three dots next to the applicable booking and click on "Download
Booking Confirmation".
To cancel the booking, click on the three dots next to the applicable booking, and
click "Cancel Booking". If neither icon appears, then you are not permitted to
transfer or cancel the corresponding booking.
Please note that no transfer or cancellation may be carried out within 9 days of
the existing session start time. There is also a fee charged for transfers and
cancellations which can be found in the Twelfth Schedule of the Air Navigation
Order.
The screen will display the 'available funds'. Select "Pay Now" to complete the
transaction. If you need to top up the payment, you will be automatically taken
12 Printing Results:
To access your results, click on "Results" at the top of the page when logged in.
Then click on the three dots next to the applicable result and click "Download
Transcript" if you wish to print the result. Alternatively, you can click on "View
Details" to download the result transcript.
13 Notifications/Alerts:
From time to time, Aspeq will broadcast a message or alert that may be relevant
to you. You do not have to be logged in to view the notifications or alerts.
Any critical or important notifications or alerts will show on screen and you can
dismiss the notifications or alerts once you have read it.
14 Checking Messages:
Messages are automatically sent to notify you of any significant activity regarding
your account and bookings. Periodically messages will also be sent by Aspeq
Customer Services staff to inform you of any necessary changes to bookings or
scheduling. You can check your messages by logging in and clicking "My
Messages" at the top of the page when logged in.
The page below will then appear. Note that the number in brackets indicates the
number of unread messages.
Next to the applicable transaction, click on the three dots and then click "View
Details".
