l ODU 600, 5.8GHz, is compliant with the relevant parts of FCC CFR47, Part
15.407.
l To ensure compliance with the FCC RF exposure requirements, a minimum
distance of 18 meters must be maintained between the antenna and any persons
whilst the unit is operational. This calculation is based on the maximum
conducted power and maximum antenna gain.
l ODU 600, 5.8GHz, has been certified for use with a parabolic antenna with a
maximum gain of 45.9dBi or a flat panel antenna with a maximum gain of 28dBi.
l The filters and software provided with this product allow for transmission only in
the frequency range 5725 – 5850 MHz to ensure compliance with Part 15.407.
l According to the conducted power limit in FCC CFR 47, Part 15.407, the power for
this device has been limited to 1W (30dBm) at the antenna port.

General Configurations
The following table provides the access and exit methods to various general configuration
modes.
Protocol Description
OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) protocol, is an Interior Gateway Protocol used to distribute
routing information within a single Autonomous System. Routers use link-state algorithms
advertisements to send routing information to all nodes in an inter-network by calculating
the shortest path to each node based on the topography of the Internet constructed by each
node.
Each router sends that portion of the routing table (keeps track of routes to particular
network destinations), which describes the state of its own links. In addition, it also sends
the complete routing structure (topography).

Enabling/Disabling OSPF
Enabling OSPF takes the user to the Router Configuration Mode from which the router
related commands are executed. Disabling OSPF terminates the OSPF process.
Enable OSPF
Enable OSPF globally in the Switch AOS1 by executing these commands.
aos# configure terminal
aos(config)# router ospf
Disable OSPF
Disable OSPF globally in the switch AOS1, by executing these commands.
aos(config-router)#
aos(config)# no router ospf
Configuring Router-id
The Router-id configured must be one of the IP addresses of the IP interfaces configured in
the switch.
N O TE: W hen OSPF routing is enabled us ing the “netw ork” command, the
sess ion es tablis hed is properly mapped w ith the interface only if the
interfac e adminis trativ e s tatus is up. This is because to enable OSPF in an
interfac e, both IP addres s and interfac e index are used.
