VKM Foods has developed three state-of-the-art plants in and around Navi
Mumbai with persistent efforts across time. The company procures wild
caught material from various fish landing centers in the state of
Maharashtra in the west coast of India and procures aquaculture produce
from farms in Maharashtra, Gujarat & Andhra Pradesh. Which is
subsequently further processed and value added according to the
customer’s specification. A large team of dedicated people trained in
HACCP system, carry out the processing of fish and fishery products to
ensure quality and safe end products.
Who are we?
VKM Group of companies has a diverse operative vertical in food and
hospitality related businesses. The first of the vertical is engaged in
undertaking “Food Processing Management Contracts” for processing
quality food products such as fish and fishery products, milk and
poultry for well recognized brands and large organizations of national
and international repute. The second segment operates a retail shop in
Navi Mumbai for the distribution of fresh and frozen seafood products in
domestic market under its own brand “FISH TREAT”.
In little over 3 years, VKM Foods has made a name for itself; offering
products of the highest virtue. So once you associate with us, you are
associating with a trusted partner with decades of experience in the
industry.
Our founder, VK Muralidharan, ventured into the hospitality industry in
2008, opening his flagship restaurant in 2008 called Royal Rasoi and
later opening a fine-dine restaurant in 2011, Royal Rasoi Marina located
in Mumbai, making it the third segment in our business vertical.
The
Management
Team
Dedicated personals ensure the freshness and quality of the product, right
from the procurement to the finished product by conforming to
the HACCP system.
Microbiological Analysis are conducted for the raw material to final product along
with regular testing of: water, ice and Hygiene and Sanitary condition of the
plant and workers.
We also conduct the Antibiotics test for aquaculture products.
The laboratory conducts the test using United States Food and Drug Administration
– Bacteriological Analytical Manual (USFDA-BAM) Method.
Newly joined staffs are trained by the Quality assurance department on Good
Manufacturing practices (GMP), Personal Hygiene and Food safety aspects.
QA personnel also undergo frequent training on latest trends on the food safety and
analysis at CIFT (Central Institute of Fisheries Technology), INFOSAN
(International Food Safety Authorities Network) to name a few.

Two seperate chill rooms for holding fresh raw material and raw material in process.
Two separate hoists for vertical movement of raw material and frozen products.
Inhouse laboratory with facilities to carry out antibiotic and microbiological testing.
Diesel generator set to back up the processing and cold store operations in
the event of break down in electrical supply.
