An Ace is counted as 1 or 11
CARDS’ COUNTNG
The value of a hand is the sum of the cards on the hand – for example, hand
containing 4,7 and 10 has value of 21. (4+7+10=21).
A hand that contains an Ace is called a ‘soft’. As the Ace can be counted as
either 1 or 11 without going over 21. For example, Ace and 6 is a soft 17 (1,11+6
= 7,17).
The meaning results from the fact that the Player can always draw another
card to a soft hand with no danger of ‘busting’ by going over 21.
Card of an Ace, 6 and 10 on the other hand is a 17, since now the Ace must be
counted only as 1, because counting it as 11 would make the hand go over 21.

❖ The player must beat the dealer's hand without exceeding 21.
❖ A game is dealt from 8 decks of cards.
❖ There are 7 boxes (seats) on the table and Game Presenter starts
dealing from left to right.
❖ Players have to place their bets before Game Presenter notifies: ''No
more bets”.
❖ All active players and a dealer receive two cards each. First two cards
for players and the dealer are called initial cards.
❖ The dealer's second card is called hidden card because it is dealt
facedown and will be shown only after the player on the last seat has
made his/her decision.
❖ The best combination in the game is when the player/dealer has
21(blackjack) on the first two cards (initial cards).
Hit - player requests another card to be dealt. The player may choose this
option at any time before standing.
Stand – player requests to keep the score which is dealt. The player’s hand will
automatically stand when the total is 21 or after Doubling Down or Splitting
Aces, or when the decision time has run out.
Split – if player's first two cards are of the same value (for example, 7, 7, or Q,
K, etc.) they may be split into 2 separate hands by placing a second wager of
equal value. The player then proceeds to draw cards as usual, with these
exceptions:
If a player splits two Aces, only one additional card is dealt for each hand.
A hand of 21 after splitting Aces is considered as 21, not Blackjack.
Game Presenter has to offer split on 8/8 and A/A.

Double Down - when a player was dealt the first two cards, he can double his bet
and receive only one card.
Insurance - gives a chance for players to protect their bets when they believe
that Game Presenter might have a Blackjack. If Game Presenter's first card is
an Ace, and the player believes Game Presenter's hole cards (face
down/hidden card) value is 10, the player may purchase insurance against
Game Presenter’s Blackjack.
Even money - In cases when player has a blackjack and dealer’s open card is
ace, player is offered with an option to take even money on his blackjack (or
multiple BJ’s). If this option is selected, common insurance function disappears
and vice versa - if common insurance is selected, even money option also
disappears.
❖ Dealer must stand on 17 and soft 17 (a soft hand is any hand that consists
of an Ace i.e., Ace+6=17.) If the dealer has an Ace only the maximum
result is announced.
❖ Dealer must draw on 16.
Player wins:
❖ with higher score than the dealer - pays 1:1
❖ wins with BJ - pays 3:2

Push: player and the dealer have equal result (wager is returned to the player).
❖ If the Dealer has a Blackjack, the insurance pays 2:1, which corresponds
to the amount of the initial bet.
❖ If the player has bought insurance and dealer does not have a Blackjack,
the player loses his insurance. The player's initial bet is then settled by
comparing his cards with dealer's cards.
❖ If the dealer and the player both have a Blackjack, the game results in a
push.

CARD PLACEMENT
❖ After closing the bets Dealer starts to deal from left to right:
❖ First row of face up cards for each active Player and a face up card for
the Dealer.
❖ A second row of face up cards for each active Player and one facedown
card for the Dealer (hidden card always is the last one.).
❖ First two cards are called initial cards.
❖ Bar code is covered only on 1st box due to limited space on the table.
❖ Dealer’s cards placement should be approximately 1 palm from table
border or below the logo on the layout and in front of 4th box. One card
(right one) is dealt opened while second cards (left one) is dealt face
down. There should be no space between dealer’s cards.

❖ Dealer’s open cards' placement with extra cards, covering half of the
barcode all the time.
❖ HIT - when player decides to hit the dealer points on the box with 1

the barcodes.
❖ DOUBLE DOWN - cards for double down is placed near the 2nd initial
card. When player decides to double down the dealer points on the
fingers - index and middle finger.
❖ SPLIT - cards are split into 2 hands and located one next to another. As
soon as cards are split it means that player plays 2 separate hands, and
one additional card is added to each hand (cards position is the same as
on initial cards). When splitting Aces only one card goes to each hand; if
splitting any other pair additional cards are dealt to each hand until
player is making his/her decision. When player decides to split the cards
the dealer points on the box with 2 split fingers - index and middle
finger.
❖ If it’s not comfortable to place the cards for the next one boxes or cards
covers the logo of the table, Dealer need to close barcodes starting from
the bottom card (make sure that nominal will stay visible)
