Hello, my name is Rob! I have a job that I really enjoy. I work as a carpenter, and every
day. It's a job where you have to be skilled with tools and have a good eye for detail.
In the morning, I make a plan for the day. I decide what I need to do and what materials I
need. Then, I do a quick check of my tools to make sure they're in good condition. Once
I'm ready, I head to the workshop.
One of the things I often do is make furniture. I take pieces of wood and use my tools to
shape and join them together. I make tables, chairs, and even bookshelves. It's a
satisfying feeling to see a pile of wood turn into a beautiful piece of furniture.
Sometimes, I also do repairs. People bring me broken chairs, tables, or cabinets, and I use
my skills to fix them. It's a bit like being a doctor for furniture!
I also make sure everything is smooth and well-finished. Sanding is an important part of
what I do. It's all about making the wood feel nice to touch.
At the end of the day, I step back and look at what I've done. It's rewarding to see the
things I've made and the repairs I've done. I'm proud of my job, and I love that I get to
make and do things with my hands every day.
