Chapter 4
Discussion
Stress is an automatic physical, mental and emotional response to a challenging event. It's a normal part of everyone's
life. When used positively, stress can lead to growth, action and change. But negative, long-term stress can lessen your
quality of life so does anxiety and depression. Many people could feel stress to everything that is happening whether its
big or small as long as its stressful for you to handle could determine how could you cope up with it when it happens,
they may say that everything happen for a reason so does if you can conquer and get it over with. Stress that's left
unchecked can contribute to many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and diabetes.
They could also encounter aches and pains, chest pain or a feeling like your heart is racing, exhaustion, trouble sleeping,
headaches, dizziness, shaking, high blood pressure, muscle tension, jaw clenching, stomach or digestive problems. And it
can make existing problem worse. For example, if you experience lots of stress, this might lead you to develop a mental
health problem like anxiety or depression. Or a traumatic period of stress might lead to post-traumatic stress disorder
(PTSD). Why do we feel stress? Stress is the body's natural defense against predators and danger. It causes the body to
flood with hormones that prepare its systems to evade or confront danger. People commonly refer to this as the fight-or-
flight mechanism. When humans face a challenge or threat, they have a partly physical response. Few of the respondent
show some sign about getting negative emotion and not being aware of its behavior that could possibly change their
hobbies and start feeling alone and shutting people out of their lives. The respondents somehow respond and start getting
aware of their behavior about being alone and thinking of many things that could hurt them, while conducting this
research we also found out that some of the researcher is also undergoing a lot of pressure from their family problem and
financial needs that others need to work to help lessen the burden of their family and would work under pressure to be
able to have extra income together with answering their modules and passing on time and the need of financial support to
be able to get another set of modules. In this research that has been conducted we aware everyone of their behavior and
attitude in dealing stress, everyone fights for their own self, redeeming and healing their self to conquer everything that is
on their way.
