Quality appraisal
2.4 based on the type of data sought
Answer:
Methods
3. What are the sequential steps in the research process
Answer:

Step1: Identify and develop your topic

Step2: Do a preliminary search of information
Step3: Locate materials
Step4: Evaluate your sources
Step5: Make notes
Step6: Write your paper
Step7: Cite your sources properly
Step8: Proofread

4. Why there is a need for a researcher to conduct the review of literature and studies?

Answer:

In conducting a literature review before starting analysis conjointly helps you to see however similar
studies are conducted within the past. By examining the strengths and weaknesses of existing
research, you’ll be able to therefore ensure you adopt the foremost acceptable methods, knowledge
sources and analytical techniques for your own work.

5.What are the guidelines that a researcher has to consider when reviewing a literature?

Answer:

Rule 1: Define a Topic and Audience

Rule 2: Search and Re-search the Literature

Rule 3: Take Notes While Reading

Rule 4: Choose the Type of Review You Wish to Write

Rule 5: Keep the Review Focused, but Make It of Broad Interest

Rule 6: Be Critical and Consistent

Rule 7: Find a Logical Structure

Rule 8: Make Use of Feedback

Rule 9: Include Your Own Relevant Research, but Be Objective

Rule 10: Be Up-to-Date, but Do Not Forget Older Studies

6.What are the factors to be considered in the choice of a research problem?

*Personal Inclination

*Resources Availability

*Area Culture

7. Why must a researcher give his study a title?

Answer:

To capture the reader's attention and to highlight the research problem under investigation.
8.What is the relationship of theoretical framework and conceptual framework in research?

Answer: There is a relation between theoretical framework and conceptual framework, namely, a part-
whole relation. A theoretical framework is a part of a certain conceptual framework. There are authors
that maintain that there is no difference between a conceptual framework and the theoretical
framework, but that is because they choose a rather general level of analysis so, a conceptual
framework is a collection of ideas relevant to a particular epistemic field or research project.

9. How should a theoretical framework of a study be developed?

Answer: A theoretical framework establishes the boundaries of a specific research project or its scope,
beyond which the author will not venture. It is usually to be found in the introductory part of a research
paper, often together with a review of related literature. As a result, in order to conduct effective
research, you must be able to identify significant hypotheses that support and strengthen your claims.
Such theories should assist you in narrowing down, defining, and supporting your work

10. How should the conceptual framework be formulated?

Answer:

o Choose your topic.

o Do a literature review.

o Isolate the important variables. ...

o Generate the conceptual framework.
