Do I need a mobile device or computer to use ebooks? Yes, you will need any mobile device or computer to access these books. Instead of carrying books to class, you only need your mobile device.
Where do I buy my prescribed ebooks?

2. SCROLL DOWN AND CLICK ON THE ‘KORTEXT’ TILE
3. CLICK ON ‘E DUVOS EB OOKSTORE’ TO ACCESS THE STORE .
4. N AVIGATE TO YOUR COURSE ON THE RIGHT -HAND BANNER TO FIND THE TITLES RELATED TO YOUR COURSE . SELECT THE BOOK YOU WANT AND PROCEED TO THE PAYMENT GATEWAY . Will I be able to share my ebooks with students that did not purchase it? No, to ensure that Kortext abide by copyright rules, you will not be able to share any textbooks with other students that have not purchased it.
Will I keep my ebook permanently?
Yes, when you purchase your ebook, you will have perpetual access to your ebooks.
How soon will I get access to my ebooks after purchasing it?
Simply log out of myLMS and log back in, your textbook will be ready under the Kortext tile within your module.
What happens with my ebooks if I leave Eduvos?
No problem, you will be able to migrate your ebooks to your own personal email address. Please reach out to studentsupport@govtek.co.za to arrange this.
I do not see the Kortext tile on my module page – what now?
Eduvos and Kortext strive to ensure that all of your prescribed books are available on the Kortext platform, there are however instances where your textbook is not available in a digital format or the specific publisher has not made the book available on the Kortext platform. You can purchase these books via our other partners i.e. Van Schaik bookstore or Wizebooks. Where can I find all my ebooks that I have purchased? 1. TO VIEW YOUR LIBRARY OF TEXTBOOKS , OPEN THE KORTEXT STORE ON YOUR MODULE PAGE OR VIA THE MY D OCUMENTS PAGE , AND SELECT THE VIEW ACCOUNT BUTTON IN THE UPPER -RIGHT CORNER .

3. THIS WILL OPEN YOUR K ORTEXT LIBRARY CONTAINING ALL YOUR TEXTBOOKS .
Why must I use my vossie.net email account to buy ebooks?
Eduvos and Kortext have worked together to create the best possible offering for you. This includes competitive discount pricing and your ebook as part of the learning journey. To gain access to these value-added options you need to use your institutional provided vossie.net email address and the password with it.
Why must I buy ebooks via Kortext?
Purchasing books via Kortext will ensure the best possible learning experience for you. Eduvos has made Kortext part of the myLMS learning journey, so everything you will need to succeed is now all in one place. No worries about stock or obtaining the correct version of a textbook. You also have various study tools like making notes, highlighting, and read aloud functionality.
Can I buy books directly on the Kortext.com website
This is not advised as the bookstore within myLMS has been custom setup with discount prices you will not be able to get anywhere else.
Can I view my whole/complete ebook?
Yes, within the Kortext library – See question on “Where can I find all my ebooks that I have purchased?” Can I view my ebook offline? Yes, install the Kortext application on your computer or mobile device, using the appropriate app, available here. Use your institutional provided vossie.net email address and password to gain access to all your purchased books on the app.

2. ON THE CARD CONTAINING THE TEXTBOOK YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD , SELECT THE ELLIPSIS BUTTON (…) 3. FROM THE DROPDOWN MENU DISPLAYED , SELECT “R EAD OFFLINE ”.
4. THIS WILL OPEN THE TEXTBOOK IN THE K ORTEXT APP INSTALLED ON YOUR DEVICE . ALTERNATIVELY , IF NOT YET INSTALLED , FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL THE APP ON YOUR DEVICE : Can I print my ebooks? Yes, you can however the ability to print Kortext ebooks may be subject to the publisher's restrictions and the specific terms of use associated with the ebook. Generally, many ebooks have limitations on printing to prevent unauthorized distribution of content. You are able to print sections of an eTextbook via Kortext’s online reader.

I do not want digital copies, what are my options?
You are welcome to purchase hard-copy textbooks from our other partners i.e. Van Schaik or Wizebooks What will my experience be without buying ebooks via kortext on myLMS You will not be able to access any of the content embedded in or linked to the textbook, you are still able to access your prescribed reading by purchasing it from other Eduvos partners including Van Schaik and Wizebooks. When attempting to access a textbook that is not yet in your library you, will see the following message on myLMS.
You must first purchase it via the Eduvos ebook Store if you want to view the embedded textbook.
