The uniform in schools
the pros :
less discrimination
everybody looks the same
a sense of unity : a community
it looks smart and pretty
in the morning it is time saving
it is Eco friendly : you can buy it second hand
the cons :
You can’t express your personality
you can’t choose your outfit

A- In Australia, girls are now allowed to wear pants in most of

publics schools but in private school they still can’t do it, it’s
unfair.
B- The uniform can reduce inequality, and it may reduce bullying.
C- Now you can personalize. You could add some color.
D- In your shoes, I would not vote in favor of a dress code, it can

be really strict. It could be worst than uniform.
E- In winter time, British student may wear there jacket but only if
they are wearing the school uniform underneath. They have to
wear their vest Monday because it’s assembly day .
F- It is forbidden to use your phone in class after the school

A student who is talking to the headmaster of his school. The
headmaster probably considers opting for the uniform or the dress
code. The student weighs the pros and cons of both options.
First, there can be sexism ; gender inequality as boys must wear
pants or short while girl have to wear a skirt or a dress.
Then, it can be expensive and old fashioned
Plus it can hinder girls from doing sporting activities.
Andy is an immigrant
He should have full citizenship soon that is to say he will be a
legal citizen with rights. He will then be allowed to work.
He probably had less freedom : his homeland could well be a

dictatorship he feared the guards might beat him.
He is amazed at the wide choice he has, it could be an under

developed country .
Paul doesn’t want foreigners to live close to his family, he is

prejudiced, he has stigmas against people who look different.
He can socialize, make friends provided he speaks the language.
He has been working hard to integrate his host country.
When Paul hears about their meeting, he will get angry
If he knew he would get angry .
He hopes to find a job

he hopes to speak better english
he hopes he will belong, he will be accepted.
The meesage its is very mooving (émouvant) because he realize
how hard it is for immigrants to fit In a host family .

To be a good detective I think you should be smart .
