JULIAN: DOH reports that a flu-like illness is on the rise; for complete
details, here’s Kathreena Fortuna.
KATHREENA: DOH reports cases about an “influenza-like illness” has been
progressing in the country. A nearly fifty percent increase of
infections were found compared to October, Last year.
According to the agency, the increase of number might be from the
rainy weather. However the department hopes that the number to
regress.
DOH adds that cases started to increase during late August and
they assured that the current number has been stable since.
DOH advices to do a “self-assessment” on the public’s health to
protect themselves from illnesses. The agency adds that the public
should get updated vaccines to fight against illnesses.

KATHREENA: The Food and Drug Agency released an advisory to the public
stating to aim on knowing the side effects of drug consumption. The

FDA advices everyone to report any side effects to the agency as
much as possible.
FDA Director General Samuel Zacarte says that the reports that
they will receive will help aid in ensuring the safety of the people,
while receiving the most benefit from the drug.

Occidental. Kathreena Fortuna has the news.
KATHREENA: President Bong Bong Marcos Jr. condemns the killing of a radio
announcer in Misamis Occidental. Juan Jumalon, also known as
“Johnny Walker”, was killed on November 5, 2023 while on air on
their radio station, nine-four-point-seven, Calamba, Gold FM.
P-B-B-M instructed the P-N-P to have an investigation. He also
mentioned that attacks on journalists will not be tolerated and
perpetrators will be put to justice.
The National Union of Journalists in the Philippines chair, Jonathan
De Santos, stated, this is the One-hundred-ninety-ninth case of a
murder of a journalist since democracy in nineteen-eighty-six and
the fourth case under the current administration.
