    The full infinitive (with to) is used:

     1- To express purpose He went to meet his girlfriend


     2.- After would love/like/prefer. I’d love to eat a sandwich
     3.- After adjectives She was glad to see her parents.
     4.- With TO, ENOUGH He’s too young to drive
    You aren’t tall enough to play basketball
     5.- After certain verbs
     (advice, agree, appear, decide, expect, hope, manage, offer, promise,
    refuse, seem, want, …) I agree to send the letter
     6.- After question words I didn’t know what to do.

    The bare infinitive (without to) is used:


     1.- After modal verbs We must clean the flat. He should speak.
     2.- After LET, MAKE, HEAR, SEE+ object
    Let me see your passport

    The –ing form is used:

     1.- As a noun Smoking can cause cancer


     2.- After love, like, dislike, hate, enjoy. She enjoys singing and dancing

     4.- After certain verbs (avoid, admit, confess to, deny, look forward to, mind, object to,
