Notes
a) Female moth tends to lay eggs near light sources, and since egg mass is deposited in
sheltered locations, inspect carefully about the following places; In addition, egg mass
should assimilate to a surrounding color, and keep in mind that you could overlook in
some locations.
- On stanchions, wall surface, passage around Lights
- Under cover of canvas/tarpaulin etc. (e.g. Under cover of lifeboat embarkation ladder)
- Back side of handrails and pipes
- Tight spaces
b) The trace of FSMC egg mass which remains after rough removal should be taken out.
Even if most part of egg mass is removed, but a little remain of egg mass may still contain
several dozen of egg of FSMC. Such trace of FSMC egg mass can be counted as live
one.
c) FSMC egg mass which painted over should not be overlooked. The painted FSMC egg
mass can be counted as live one because egg of FSMC may be alive under paints
