Executive Summary

The "Agri Palalay Mobile Application" is designed to provide comprehensive information

on proper rice farming sequences with the aim of offering farmers access to essential

knowledge and guidance. This research addresses the challenges encountered by novice

rice farmers in Calinog, Philippines, such as limited knowledge, lack of agricultural

technicians, and a scarcity of educational materials. To overcome these obstacles,

researchers developed the Agri Palalay Mobile Application to bridge the knowledge gap

and enhance rice production. The overarching goal of the application is to increase

efficiency and output in rice farming. The specific objectives are twofold: firstly, to

provide detailed information on proper farming practices, ensuring farmers have the

necessary guidance for optimal cultivation; and secondly, to act as an E-guide for rice

farming, offering digital resources to improve farmers' understanding and proficiency in

cultivation techniques. The development process followed the Rapid Application

Development (RAD) model, emphasizing quick development and stakeholder

engagement. The application's architectural design outlines its structure and

functionalities, incorporating user-centered design principles. Evaluation by rice farmers,

agriculture students, IT experts, and advisers confirmed the application's effectiveness,

reliability, and usability in meeting the specific needs of Calinog's farmers. The Agri

Palalay Mobile Application exhibits significant potential in enhancing rice production,

facilitating knowledge dissemination among agricultural technicians, and contributing to

the sustainability of local agriculture. The study recommends the adoption of this

application by novice rice farmers and agricultural technicians, with a feedback

mechanism suggested for continuous improvement based on user input. Technologies

used in the development process include Visual Studio Code, MySQL, PHP, HTML,

XAMMP, and Android Studio.
