MECHANICS
Scoring
1. Best of 3 events wins. First team to win 2 events will be the champion for the
given category. In case of 2 successive wins by the leading team, 3 rd event is
advised to be played to inhabit the culture of structured games that foster the value
of sportsmanship and promote camaraderie. In case of a tie, by merit of each team
equally winning an event, tie-breaking game will be discussed by the committee.
Circumstances that are pre-determined and or gestures from the results of the
momentum that would occur simultaneously will be addressed by the category
committee and school head. Therefore, if the school body determines a tie-
breaking game is not necessary, everyone will be declared as champion.
2. Number of players will be determined based on the attendance or registration.
3. Player rotation will be determined by the coaching party of each grade level at
any point of the events. However, changing of players after an event has started is
not allowed.

Guidelines

1. WINDY CUP – Each team must choose 2 representatives that will serve as
poles/bases. The bases will be connected by a string/rope which measures not more
than 7 meters. A plastic cup or a paper cone as an alternative will be provided for each
team. Each player will have to blow the cup from POINT A to POINT B with his/her
arms placed at the back. Once the cup reaches POINT B, player must use only 1 hand
to move the cup back to POINT A. Once player 1 is back at POINT A BASE, player 2
does the same, until every team member finishes thew routine. Team whose players
first finished the routine wins.

2. WALK LIKE MARY - Each team will be provided with a (500ml) plastic mineral
bottle filled with water. With the assigned pole, each team member must walk around
the pole from base-to-base carrying the water bottle on one foot without touching the
ground. Once the foot carrying the mineral water touches the ground, player must go
back to the base and repeat the process. First team to have its members carry the
mineral from base-to-base wins the event.
3. LUKSONG TINIK – (Alternative for HIGH JUMP) Two players serve as the base of
the tinik (thorn) by putting their right or left feet together (soles touching gradually
building the tinik). A starting point is set by all the players, giving enough runway for
the players to achieve a higher jump, so as not to hit the tinik. Players of the other
team start jumping over the tinik, followed by the other team members. Once jumping
player touches the torn, he/she will be benched. Players continue to jump over the
tinik that gets higher and higher every rotation. Each team will be given 5 minutes to
play. The number of remaining players who did not touch any thorns will be the
team’s score. The team with the highest score wins.

4. LEANING TOWER OF PISA – (ALTERNATIVE for SHOT PUT) Team player will
be provided with 1.75 liters of plastic mineral bottle filled with water. Player has 60
seconds to release the bottle. Bottle must reach the designated circle in a standing
position otherwise he will forfeit a score. Each player has 2 chances. Once all players
of the team get their turn, event coordinator shall tally the scores. Team with the
highest score wins the event. Distance from base to the circle will be 2 meters.
Circumference of the circle will be equivalent to 60 centimeters.

5. AROUND-AND-ABOUT – (ALTERNATIVE for RELAY) Each team will choose the

best 4 sprinters for the game. During each leg run, the player has to carry a string and hand
it over to the next team member. Once second runner receives the string, he/she runs to
the next runner. Once the string has been received by the 3 rd runner, he/she has to
hand it over to the fourth runner who will run the entire course before handing over
the string to the event coordinator. First team to finish the sprint relay wins.

6. ATLETICS – RUNNING – Each grade level will have a representative to participate

in the 100M Dash facilitated by the organizing committee. Should Sports Club
Officers wish to join, they may do so, given that approval has been granted.
