‭LANTUFF® FURASHIELD AGP is 100% Graphite filled Specially formulated Furan‬
‭resin-based acid-proof cement. It is a two-component system viz powder and‬
‭syrup. This product has got Outstanding Chemical Resistance and adhesion to‬
‭the substrates. LANTUFF® FURASHIELD AGP confirms IS 4832 Part II and ASTM‬
‭C– 395–80.‬

‭CHEMICAL RESISTANCE‬
T‭ he‬‭product‬‭can‬‭withstand‬‭organic‬‭acids,‬‭solvents,‬‭oils,‬‭greases,‬‭and‬‭salts.‬‭It‬‭is‬‭also‬‭resistant‬‭to‬‭many‬‭inorganic‬‭acids‬‭and‬
‭alkalis‬ ‭including‬ ‭hydrofluoric‬ ‭acid,‬ ‭phosphoric‬ ‭acid,‬ ‭and‬ ‭sodium‬ ‭hydroxide.‬ ‭It‬ ‭complies‬ ‭with‬ ‭the‬‭specifications‬‭of‬‭ASTM‬
‭C395 and IS 4832 Part II for chemical-resistant furan resin mortars.‬

‭APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS‬

‭SUBSTRATE QUALITY REQUIREMENTS‬

T‭ he‬ ‭concrete‬ ‭substrate‬ ‭must‬ ‭be‬ ‭sound‬ ‭and‬ ‭of‬ ‭sufficient‬ ‭compressive‬ ‭strength‬ ‭(minimum‬ ‭25‬ ‭N/mm‬‭2‬‭)‬ ‭with‬ ‭a‬ ‭minimum‬
‭pull-off strength of 1.5 N/mm‬‭2‭.‬ ‬
‭The‬‭substrate‬‭must‬‭be‬‭clean,‬‭dry,‬‭and‬‭free‬‭of‬‭all‬‭contaminants‬‭such‬‭as‬‭dirt,‬‭oil,‬‭grease,‬‭coatings‬‭surface‬‭treatments,‬‭etc.‬
‭Substrate Temperature should be above 15°C and Below 35°C max. Relative Air Humidity 80% r.h.‬
‭No rising moisture according to ASTM (Polyethylene-sheet)‬
‭Beware of condensation!‬
‭The‬‭substrate‬‭and‬‭uncured‬‭floor‬‭must‬‭be‬‭at‬‭least‬‭3°C‬‭above‬‭the‬‭dew‬‭point‬‭to‬‭reduce‬‭the‬‭risk‬‭of‬‭condensation‬‭or‬‭blooming‬
‭on the floor finish.‬
‭Note: Low temperatures and high humidity conditions increase the probability of blooming.‬

‭LANTUFF® FURASHIELD AGP‬
‭SUBSTRATE PREPARATION‬
‭ oncrete substrates must be prepared mechanically using floor grinding /abrasive blast‬

‭cleaning or scarifying equipment to remove cement laitance and achieve an open textured surface.‬
‭Weak concrete must be removed and surface defects such as blowholes and voids must be fully exposed.‬
‭Repairs to the substrate, filling of blowholes/voids, and surface leveling can be carried out using appropriate materials.‬
‭High spots must be removed by e.g. grinding.‬
‭All dust, loose, and friable material must be completely removed from all surfaces before application of the product,‬
‭preferably by brush and/or vacuum.‬
‭MEMBRANE (UNDERLAYMENT)‬
‭LANTUFF® FURASHIELD‬‭AGP can be used as a mortar for chemical-resistant brick construction, a bed joint over an‬
‭impervious Sheet membrane such as Rubber, Repnol, PP or LANTUFF SCREED TE, LANTUFF SCREED EP , FRP, etc.‬

‭MIXING‬
‭ remix Liquid to ensure product uniformity. Gradually add Powder to the Liquid. Mix the combined components for‬

‭approximately two minutes or until all the powder is thoroughly dispersed.‬

‭APPLICATION‬
T‭ he prepared mortar is applied on the back and sides of the brick/tile and pressed firmly on the surface so that the‬
‭bedding is uniform. In the case of pointing only, the mortar is filled to the entire depth up to which the joining material is‬
‭racked out. In case if bedding is done using silicate cement, the joint should be cured with Hydrochloric acid for a period‬
‭of 24 hours consisting of one part by volume of commercial Hydrochloric acid and two parts by volume of water.‬
‭In case, if pointing is carried out when the bedding is done using Portland cement, it should be ensured that the pointing‬
‭area is absolutely dry, and a coat of primer applied on the joints before pointing with‬‭LANTUFF® FURASHIELD‬‭ACP cement.‬

‭CLEANING OF TOOLS‬
‭ lean all tools and application equipment with LANTUFF EP CLEANER immediately after use. Hardened and/or cured‬

‭POT LIFE‬

‭NOTES ON APPLICATION / LIMITATIONS‬

F‭ reshly applied‬ ‭LANTUFF® FURASHIELD‬‭AGP must be protected from damp, condensation and water for at least 24‬
‭hours.Under certain conditions, underfloor heating combined with high point loading, may lead to imprints in the‬
‭resin‬‭.‬
