A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:


1. Knowledge:
- Recognize letters U/u and the sound /ʌ / in words and produce them individually.
* Vocabulary: umbrella, uncle
* Sentence patterns: Continue revising the structure “This is my (umbrella)”.
2.Competences:
- Building up an awareness of taking care of others in their family or community.
- Being collaborative and supportive in teamwork.
- Building up responsive and independent-working characteristics to be a life-long learner.
3. Attributes:
- Knowing how to share joyfulness with others.
- Being hardworking in studying.
- Becoming responsible for others

Line-up
- Give each students an alphabet flashcard. Whole class
- Play the Alphabet song and have the students skip around in

alphabetical order according to their cards. work

1. PRESENTATION

*Aim: to listen, repeat, and trace the letter U/u.

- Have students look at the pictures.
- Point to the pictures and say the letters' sounds. Whole class

"What is missing?" game
- Divide the class into four teams.
- Place some flashcards with letters/ words on the board.
- Have students from the teams close their eyes. Whole class
- Remove one of the flashcards.
- Students have to remember and say the missing letter or Group work
word.
- Give the first team to guess correct flashcard one point.
The team that gets the most points wins.
II. New lesson:
PRACTICE - Task A. Listen and point. Repeat . 6 minutes
*Aim: to listen, point, and repeat vocab about activities they do

- Use some pictures to introduce the new words (ride my Individual
bike, read books, listen to music, eat snacks).
- Have students listen to each new word.
