ODU OF THE YEAR 2019/2020 CAST AT OKE IGETI AND OKE OLOTA ON MAY 25, 2019.

The Odu of the year as revealed to the whole world in general but in particular to the following
Ifa/Orisa groups:

i. All Ifa/Orisa Temples around the world;

ii. All Ile whose faith is based upon the doctrines of Ifa, Irunmole and Orisa;

iii. All Spiritual groups that are Ifa/Orisa based, e.g. Alaraagbo, Ayelala, Olomolu, Ktran-Megan
and so forth;

iv. All individuals who are affiliated to i. to iii. above.

The activities of The Council in Ekiti State in general and Ado Ekiti in particular, is strictly in the
fulfillment of one of the Aims and Objectives of The International Council For Ifa Religion which
is the discovery, development and promotion of Sacred Sites all over the world. The Annual
Pilgrimage is therefore aimed at achieving the following objectives:

i. To encourage Temple based worship that will enhance community building

ii. To provide sanctuary for the homeless and encourage social interactions among members of
the Temple

iii. To bring hope for the hopeless and create environment for Temple based family living;

iv. To build leadership among the rank and file in order to improve the lives of members in the
Temples;

v. To lay more emphasis on Temples as against individuals

vi. To train all members on iwa pele in order for them to be closer to Olodumare in all their
thoughts, speeches and actions;

vii. To ensure that all attending Temple members are role models who will become shining
examples for the general public at large

viii. To socialize the young ones on the proper ways of being socially acceptable members of
their communities
The Odu revealed was Osa Alawo (Osa Otura). It came with the ire of longevity. For all those
who are born by this Odu either during Ikosedaye or Itenifa, there is the need for you to feed
your Ifa with two obi, two orogbo, oti, epo and food. There is also the need to gather people
together to celebrate with you. You also need to resolve all outstanding issues that may lead
to quarrel or misunderstanding, if any, and allow peace and harmony to reign. By so doing,
plenty of ire leading to self-actualization, peace of mind, comfort and elevation are
guaranteed.

There is the need for each member of the various Temples and other Ifa/Orisa based Houses of
Worship to procure one dead eku emo, brown rat. Cut a little hair from your head and fix it
inside the rat. After doing this, throw the rat on the roof of your Temple or place of worship. If
this is not possible, throw it on the roof of your house, place of work or on top of Esu. Doing
this will guarantee longevity, peace and harmony.

All Temples do not need to offer all the prescribed ebo in this Odu. Please study the messages
very carefully and offer the ebo that are directly relevant to the prevailing circumstances of
your various Temples or Houses of Worship. The ebo can therefore be offered as a group,
although it does not stop any individual who feels like offering the ebo on his own from doing
so.

3. Ifa says that at all times all members of various temples and Ifa/Orisa based establishments
must distinguish themselves by speaking the truth at all time. On no condition must they be
seen telling lies or trying to be dubious in any of their undertakings. Ifa says that truthfulness
will make them to be closer to Olodumare. This is because it is the truth that Olodumare used
in founding and administering the world. All Ifa/Orisa devotees must therefore be seen to be
speaking the truth at all times.

The ebo here is for all devotees to restrain from falsehood and uphold the truth at all times.

6. Ifa says that there is the need to improve communication among all Temples. There must be
more business transactions among all Ifa/Orisa devotees in order to promote sustainable
wealth among members. We also need to improve our public relations, that transacting
business with each other are our sure source of prosperity. Therefore, there is the need for us
to move closer and interact with people that matter within our community in order to enhance

based to feed their Ori with one mature ram, eight coconuts and money. Ifa says that many
things that their Houses of Worship know nothing about are going to be heaped on your
heads. For that reason, these leaders need to offer this ebo so that Esu will help to remove all
this trouble from your heads. The ram will be slaughtered on the head of the leader and the
blood will be drained on their head in front of Esu. they will then use soap mixed with
Alupaida leaves together with coconut juice to wash their head. This washing will be done on
Esu. If the coconut juice is not sufficient to wash out the soap and blood, more water can be
used to wash the head. On this, Ifa says:

11. Ifa says that this period may be very tough for most Temples. With time however, they will
be on sound footings and they will be able to assert their individual and collective authorities.
Ifa says that these Temples will be respected, honored and adored. Ifa compared the present
situations of these Temples with the time that a ram is about to cut its horns. At that time, the
ram will fall sich, weak and tired. As soon as the horns came out, the ram can no longer be
bullied by anyone. Ifa advises each Temple facing this type of challenges to offer ebo with
three roosters and money. On this, Ifa says:

12. Ifa says that many enemies will rise up in arms against us in the next 12 months. These
enemies will try all they know to run us down or to close down our places of worship. Ifa
assures us that they will fail. This is because Orunmila himself will rise up in our support and
ensure that these enemies are incapacitated. Ifa advises us to offer ebo with one bearded he-
goat and money. We also need to feed Ifa with a mature pig. On this, Ifa says:
