INSPIRATION LEADS TO A BETTER FUTURE
Electric cars, solar cells and renewable energy used to be an imagination, an

idea from a fiction book, but have you ever thought to yourself how it all came to
reality? on where this idea came to be?
Good evening ladies and gentleman, to the honourable judges and audience,
I thank you for this wonderful chance. As of today i'll be giving a speech about
inspirations that will lead to a better future, but before that allow myself to give a
short introduction, my name 2nd class sergeant major cadet electrical core Haikal
Ramadhan Rustandi with academic number 2021.474. As of right now i'm a 3rd
grade cadet in the indonesian naval academy.
So what's worrying these days? Is it Your relationship? No, it's the sky in
jakarta. It's unhealthy as ever and threatens the lives of millions of people. So what's
the cause of this you may ask, it's the current air pollution that jakarta is facing.
Now try to breathe the air in Jakarta and if you don't suffocate because of the
pollution, you may have superhuman genes in you. This air pollution is causing the
rise of pneumonia ISPA reaching 3,115 cases in east jakarta alone, but that's a small
fraction from a bigger problem we are facing from air pollution. You know what’s
coming? Climate change following a rise in temperature and that means global
warming.
The earth temperature has risen on average of 0.14 fahrenheit each decade
starting from the 1880s which is the industrial era. It used to be Natural changes in
the sun’s activity or large volcanic eruptions that caused ancient shifts in earth
temperature and weather patterns, but over the last 200 years these natural cause
have not significantly make any change to global temperature rather it is human
activities that are causing climate change, primarily due to the burning of fossil
fuels like coal, oil, and gas.
The main causes of the earth’s global warming are not just from extreme
usage of fossil fuels,but from cutting down green areas such as the forest for
settlement causing less photosynthesis, and lastly farming livestock. If we don't pay
serious attention to these matters then maybe doomsday is coming faster than we
thought. Millions or Billions of people's lives are in jeopardy.
Now who is the real devil here on earth? Its us humans, we are the one
causing mass pollution, we are the one responsible for deforestation and thus
resulting in global warming which eventually backfired on us humans. But
unconsciously we needed a reminder for us to give new inspirations for a better
future, like saving earth.
I remember the infamous quote from the champion of human rights,
Mahatma the great soul gandhi. He said ‘The future depends on what you do today’
for me personally. That is very true as I believe that our future is ours to make and
thus the improvement of the future is our burden that we must carry together.
Inspirations leading to ideas are the fundamental foundation of a better future we
all sought.
To all of these causes humankind needs ways, ideas and inspirations to stop
this cause. Ideas and inspirations such as harnessing and utilizing renewable energy
to lessen the usage of fossil fuel. Solar cell by using the solar panel to harness the
solar energy, windmill by using the wind to produce kinetic energy, and electric
plant powered by the natural gas of the earth or wave energy. The movement from
using fossil fuel based cars to electrical cars are also vital for this cause.
Other inspiration and ideas to handle or solve this problem is to conserve
green areas such as the forest, as it is the main source of photosynthesis that is
carrying the exchange of carbon dioxide to oxygen. All of these problem solving
ideas have the same thing in common and that is using a cleaner and renewable
source of energy.
Now if you think about it all of this goes back to the idea that the future is
ours to decide, why? Because all of these ideas came from inspirations on how we
humans can preserve our survival on earth by making it a better future. The humans
will to survive is indeed very strong thus inspiration will be infinite and the only
true limit to that is our own imagination. This proves that a good inspiration will
lead to a better future.
