This is a special year for Collin County IDPA - it is our 25th year of being an IDPA
Club. Our club accomplishes so many things each year - hosting over eight
matches a month, providing introduction to IDPA classes on a monthly basis and
introducing well over 100 new shooters annually to the sport of IDPA. In addition
to all of this, we have continued to host the Texas State IDPA Championship 14
times since 1998. This could not be accomplished without the volunteers who
make IDPA happen.
When asked to be the match director for 2023, I had several goals for the match.
First and foremost was to have the best staff - from CSO's to Mr Fix it. Next, to
provide stages that would present a challenge to all levels of participants - testing
the speed and skill of everyone participating. Finally, providing an incredible prize
table and an overall great experience. I believe that at the end of the match,
everyone will agree that our team did what we set out to accomplish.
I have learned that it takes a ton of work to put on a successful Tier 4 match and
after all is said and done, I believe CCIDPA has provided the foundation for what
will be a memorable match to each and every participant.
On behalf of the CCIDPA board, its club members, and the owner of Mission 160,
I wish you all a safe and fun competition.
Lost Brass: This match is a “lost brass” match. This means we ask you not to pick up
brass.
Check in: Registration desk will be under the large canopy structure at Mission 160.
Competitors will need to verify their Division and Class as well as pick up their gift bag,
match hat and dinner bracelet.
PPDS Shooters: Competitors may request a penalty in lieu of the stated course
requirements by reason of incapacity or previous injury. This must be requested prior to
shooting the stage. Only the CSO or MD can accept any such request.
Stage Boundaries: Marked with green stakes several feet back from the stages, if you are
previewing the stages respect this line.
DNFs: If for any reason you do not finish the match, please be certain to let a CSO or the
MD know so final scoring is not delayed.
Staff: Match Safety Officers and other staff are identified by match shirts. They are
responsible for running the stages and ensuring safety. Please follow their instructions
and commands. Please, keep in mind that all staff are volunteers.
SO Safety: Several stages have specific access limitations for the safety of the shooter
and staff, please adhere to the instructions of the SO given during the stage briefing and
walkthrough.
Final Stage Design: While every attempt was made to provide detailed stage diagrams in
this matchbook, the actual on the ground setup may differ slightly from the stage
diagram. For example, a wall may have a different angle on the ground than in the stage
diagram
