Solid Foundation: The unit needs a level, stable surface that can support its
weight. This could be a concrete pad, roof curb, or other suitable structure.

The outdoor unit(s) are level

The mounting base fully supports the unit across front and back.

All anchor bolts have been installed and secured.

There is adequate water drainage, for defrost operation.

The mounting base height is more than the expected snow level.

Clearances:

Maintain adequate clearances around the unit for airflow and service access.
Refer to the manufacturer's installation manual for specific measurements on
required clearances for the front, back, sides, and top of the unit.(refer to
manufacturer's recommendations, typically minimum of 300mm on sides and
back, 600mm on front and top)

Electrical:

Dedicated power supply: Confirm each outdoor unit has a dedicated


disconnect and circuit breaker sized according to electrical specifications .

Control wiring: Verify control wiring is installed as per the project drawings,
connecting the outdoor units and indoor units
Refrigerant Piping:
Pipe sizing and length: Ensure refrigerant pipes are the correct size and total
length complies with manufacturer's limitations

Pipe installation: Verify proper pipe bending techniques are used and pipe
supports are installed as required

Brazing/Welding (if applicable): Ensure proper brazing or welding techniques


are followed according to manufacturer's instructions

Leak test: Conduct a pressure test to identify and repair any leaks in the
refrigerant piping before refrigerant charge
