Component 1: 15 marks

Criteria 1: Open Book Test (10 marks)

Description of the Assignment/activity: Open Book Test: Written Assignment

Specific Guidelines:

● Prepare an answer based on reference material given for an essay type answer.
One question each from the syllabus will be assigned to each student.
● Each student has to write their answers independently.
● Answers have to be hand-written.

Evaluation Criteria: Total Marks:10

Final submission: The answers will have to be submitted on or before 5th February (Monday) in
the ST PAULS COLLEGE blue books. Delay in submission will lead to marks deduction.

Criteria: 2: Presentation (5 marks)

Description of the Assignment/activity:

Specific Guidelines:

● The topics are assigned to the students and the presentation has to be for 8 minutes
followed by 2 minutes of Question answer.

Evaluation Criteria: Content (05 Marks), Presentation (03 marks) Q&A (02 Marks).Total
marks will be 10 which would be then reduced to 5 marks.

Total Marks:10 marks (To be reduced to 5 marks)


Deadline:PPT Submission should be on or before 15th January. Presentations would happen on
every friday

NOTE: The average of OBT and Seminar/ Presentation is considered for the final marking
the Component 1

Component 2: 15 marks

Criterion-01(A): CIE

Marks: 5 marks

Description of the Assignment/activity: CIE

Guidelines: The pattern of the Question paper will be the same as the final examination.
Weightage of the question would differ.

Evaluation Criteria: Questions comprising of 10 marks for the CIE

Criteria 1(B): Pre final Examination

Marks: 5 marks

Description of the Assignment/activity: Pre-Final Examination

Guidelines: The pattern of Question paper will be the same as final examination

Evaluation Criteria: Questions comprising 14 marks for the Prefinals same as University end
Examination.

Criterion 2: Attendance (5/10 marks)

Guidelines: 75% attendance is mandatory for appearing in the University end examination. The
marks for the regularity is a component under the IA.
75% to 80% 1 | 2 marks
81% to 85% 2 | 4 marks
86% to 90% 3 | 6 marks
91% to 95% 4 | 8 marks
96% to 100% 5 | 10 marks

General Guidelines for all classes:

1. Students are expected to be regular and punctual to classes.

2. Students arriving late will not be given attendance(for the first hour in the morning a
delay of 5 minutes will be excused)

3. Absentees of one class will have to come prepared for the subsequent classes by
completing the expected work/ learning the portions covered.

4. Extension of deadline for assignment submission will not be permitted.

5. Students are free to contact the teachers to seek clarification of doubts during class
hours, or in person, or through official mail. Only the class representatives are
permitted to contact the teacher over phone to discuss urgent matters if any.

6. Concerns or grievances if any can be brought to the notice of the teacher individually.

7.Assignments would be posted on the google classrooms.

8.Usage of the phones during the class hours without permission is prohibited.
