Course Objectives
The course aims to empower learners by providing them with foundational knowledge of entrepreneurship
and equipping them with the requisite skills necessary to thrive as successful entrepreneurs.

Course Outcomes
After successful completion of this course, the students will be able to:

CO1 Understand: Describe the concepts of entrepreneurial development.


CO2 Apply: Apply the skills acquired to effectively engage in entrepreneurial development practices.
CO3 Analyze: Analyze the various configurations inherent in entrepreneurial development processes.

SYLLABUS
UNIT- I: Entrepreneur:
Meaning, Evolution of the concept of Entrepreneur, Characteristic of successful entrepreneurs, Functions of
entrepreneur, Types of entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurial mindset.
UNIT - II: Entrepreneurship
Concept of entrepreneurship, Role of Entrepreneurship in economic development, Women
Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial motivation and competencies, Entrepreneurship Development
Programmes.
UNIT - III: Startup
Small Enterprises, Opportunity identification and selection, Steps involved in setting up a Business,
Preparation of Preliminary Project Reports, Project Appraisal, Techno Economic Feasibility Assessment.
