Remigio, which is currently widely spread throughout Spain, is but one of the many variants of the popular international

game of
Rummy.

• Objective of the game

Combine the ten cards according to the possible plays before another player and expose them at once.

• Deck of cards
The Spanish poker deck of 52 cards is used, plus two jokers.

• Number of players
For a game of up to six players, two decks will be used and up to nine or ten players, three decks will be used. The game is
always individual.

• Order and value of cards

The order, from highest to lowest, is as follows: king (K), knight (Q), jack (J), ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two and
ace.

Its value is that represented by the index, except in the figures, whose value is 10 points for each of them. The wild card is a card
that serves to replace any other in a combination and is worth 20 points.

• Distribution of the cards

Each player takes a card from the deck, with the “hand” being the one who drew the highest card. The player located to the left of
the “hand” will give 10 cards to each player, one at a time, returning the next card, which will be revealed on the table next to the
deck of leftover cards to begin the discards.

If at the end of the distribution of the cards, it is found that there is an error due to having given an extra or less card to a player, a
new and correct distribution will be carried out.

• Plays or combinations that can be made

Each player, with their cards, will try to form series of equal cards or ladders with cards of the same suit. Both series of equal
cards and straights, to be valid, must be made up of at least three cards. On straights, the ace can link with the king (K) and the
knight (Q) or with the two and three. However, there are players who also admit that the king (K) can be linked consecutively with
the ace, two, three, etc. At the beginning of the game, it will be convenient to decide the modality to follow.

In the event that a player's ten cards are of the same suit, it will not be necessary for them to combine with each other in series of
equal cards or in straights; This play is called Flush.
If all the cards are correlative and of the same suit, the play is Straight Flush. The greatest play is to make Remigio, which is
achieved when the ten cards in the hand are equal.
All plays can be made using wild cards.
• Start and run of the game
The “hand” begins the game, which can choose to take the card that was left uncovered on the table or, if this does not suit him,
the top card of the deck.
He will then discard one of the cards in his hand, which he will leave uncovered to his right, in case the next player would be
interested in taking it, thus ending his turn of play. The latter may also choose between taking the card discarded by the “hand”
player or the top card of the deck, each player then discarding and so on when their turn comes.

If during the course of the game, a player makes a mistake by inadvertently picking up a card twice and discovers that he has
eleven cards in his hand, or, on the contrary, discards without having picked up, having only nine, in neither case will he be able
to close, limiting themselves to following the incidents of the game to lose as few points as possible or not paying anything if they
manage to complete their defective play. In the event that the deck of cards is exhausted without having closed the game, all the
discards will be collected and, after shuffling all the cards, the game will continue in the order in which it was suspended.

The game ends when a player, after having discarded, has managed to match all the cards in his hand, then, he will reveal them
on the table, saying “Closed”; but if he ends the game with a move, he must sing it saying “Flush”, “Straight Flush” or “Remigio”.

• Game score
Before starting the game, the players will determine, by common agreement, the value of the goal.
At the moment in which a player has called “Close”, each of the remaining players will show their cards and pay the winner a
number of points equal to the value of the card or cards that they have left uncombined.

There are prizes for “closing” without a wild card or with a special play. Each player will pay the dealer the value of his
uncombined cards, multiplying:

• For 2 if it closed without a wildcard

• For 3 if he closed with a flush and a wild card
• For 4 if he closed with Color without wildcard
• For 5 if he closed with a Straight and a wild card
• For 6 if he closed with a Straight without a wild card
• For 10 if he closed with Remigio
