heritage of SJDM through their
performances. I was part of the group
when I was in senior high school.

We used lanterns made from recycled
soda and beer cans. The parade
consisted of 14,173 people (mostly high
school students from public and private
schools) and was held at San Jose Del
Monte, Bulacan on September 19, 2017.
I was in Grade 10 and one of the parade
participants.

The Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto


Shrine

The Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto Shrine


was first opened to the public
on February 11, 1965, coinciding with
the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The
Grotto was said to be miraculous. The
site was established by Horacio A.
Guanzon and Anita Guidote-Guanzon,
whose familial roots trace to wealthy
families in Bulacan, Pampanga, and
Nueva Ecija.
