Introduction
NOTICE
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during
performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and
repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with
suitable containers before opening any compartment or
disassembling any component containing fluids.
The following procedure is used in order to test the charge pressure for the transmission.

Machine Preparation
Reference: Before you begin the test, refer to Troubleshooting, "Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting".
1. Operate the machine until the transmission oil is at an operating temperature of 51 °C (124 °F).
2. Stop the machine. Engage the parking brake and turn off the engine.

1. Start the engine. Set the throttle control to high idle. Turn the differential lock to the ON position. Refer to Table 2 for the correct transmission
oil pressure.
Transmission Oil Pressure
NEUTRAL position at 800 rpm NEUTRAL position at 2000 rpm
2610 ± 70 kPa (378 ± 10 psi) 2835 ± 70 kPa (410 ± 10 psi)
Table 2
3. If the pressure is within the specification, then this procedure is complete. Turn off the engine, remove the test equipment and install dust
cover (2). If the pressure is not within spec, then proceed to the Adjustment Procedure portion of this article.

(4) Cover
1. If the pressure is more than 2835 ± 70 kPa (410 ± 10 psi), then remove cover (4) turn adjustment screw (3) counterclockwise until the
pressure reaches 2835 ± 70 kPa (410 ± 10 psi).
2. If the pressure is more than 2835 ± 70 kPa (410 ± 10 psi), then remove cover (4) turn adjustment screw (3) clockwise until the pressure
reaches 2835 ± 70 kPa (410 ± 10 psi).
3. When the proper pressure has been reached, release and reengage the parking brake. If the pressure reading is no longer within
specification, then repeat Step 1 and Step 2.
4. When the proper pressure setting is reached, replace adjustment screw cover (4).
5. Turn off the engine, remove the test equipment and install dust cover (4).
