SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT AS BARANGAY TREASURER
In view of the vacancy in the office of the Barangay Treasurer of this barangay
and pursuant to Section 395 of RA 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government
Code of 1991, and by virtue and powers vested in e under Section 389 (b) (5)
thereof, you are hereby appointed as Barangay Treasurer.
As such, you are conferred with the powers and required to perform duties
as follows;
(1) Keep custody of barangay funds and properties;

(2) Collect and issue official receipts for taxes, fees, contributions, monies, materials,
and all other resources accruing to the barangay treasury and deposit the same in
the account of the barangay as provided under Title Five, Book II of this Code;
(3) Disburse funds in accordance with the financial procedures provided in this Code;
(4) Submit to the punong barangay a statement covering the actual and estimates
for income and expenditures for the preceding and ensuring calendar years,
respectively, subject to the provision of the Title Five,Book II of this Code;
(5) Render a written accounting report of all barangay funds and property under his
custody at the end of each calendar year, and ensure that such report
government agencies concerned;
(6) Certify as to the availability of funds whenever necessary;
(7) Plan and attend to the rural postal circuit within ,his jurisdiction; and
(8) Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may
be prescribed by the law or ordinance.
This appointment shall take effect immediately.

brought about by the end of the term of the appointing authority.
WHEREAS, Section 395 (a) of the Local Government Code of 1991, provides
that each barangay must have a Barangay Treasurer and Section 389 b (5) thereof
likewise provides that the appointment of the Barangay Treasurer shall be concurred
by the majority of the Sangguniang Barangay Members;
WHEREAS, the services of Barangay Treasurer are needed for effective and
efficient barangay administration;
NOW THEREFORE, upon motion of Hon. _____________________ and duly

seconded by Hon. ______________________, be it resolved as it is hereby resolved
to CONCUR THE APPOINTMENT OF MR./S ___________________________ AS

WHEREAS, there is an existing vacancy in the Office of the SK Treasurer brought

about by the end of the term of the appointing authority.

Kabataan Members;
WHEREAS, that the resolution remains effective and subsisting and has not been
amended, revoked, superseded.
WHEREAS, the services of SK Treasurer are needed for effective and efficient
barangay administration;

RELANIE D. GARCIA, be it resolved as it is hereby resolved to CONCUR THE APPOINTMENT OF

WHEREAS, the SK Chairman as the Presiding Officer of the Sangguniang Kabataan

will sign all warrants drawn on the treasury for all expenditures appropriated.
WHEREAS, the joint signatures of the SK Chairman and the SK Treasurer is the
requirement for disbursement of all the SK funds and the custody of thus may be
entrusted to the treasurer by the law and competent authority, as follows:
WHEREAS, to continue the financial operation of the Barangay, it is requested to the

concern agencies to authorize the signature of Hon. Juvil P. Gohil, SK Chairman and
Ms. Jovie O. Gado, SK Treasurer of Barangay Silop, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
WHEREAS, this resolution remains effective & subsisting & has not been amended,
revoked, or suspended.
WHEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED; by the Sangguniang Kabataan of Silop, Surigao City, Surigao del

Norte to authorize Hon. Juvil P. Gohil, SK Chairman and Ms. Jovie O. Gado, SK
Treasurer as official signatories of Barangay Silop, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be forwarded to Land Bank of the
Philippines and to the offices concern for information and guidance
