Energy Assistance Programs

State Assistance: The Virginia Department of Social Services assists eligible low-income households in meeting their immediate home
energy needs.

- Fuel - Applications are accepted from the second Tuesday in October through the second Friday in November. Fuel helps
pay primary heating utility bills.
- Crisis - Applications are accepted from November 1 through March 15. Crisis can assist in heating emergency situations
with security deposits, utility bills, repair/replacement of heating equipment, heating fuel or emergency shelter.
- Cooling - Applications are accepted from June 15 through August 15. Cooling will help purchase or repair cooling
equipment and/or help pay primary cooling utility bills.
- Applications are accepted online at https://commonhelp.virginia.gov/access/, by phone (855) 635–4370, and at your local
department of social services.

Dominion Energy's EnergyShare: Year-round energy assistance program available to anyone facing financial hardship.

- Bill Payment Assistance - helps pay energy bills for any type of heating and cooling source for qualified customers.
EnergyShare is not income based so any customer in crisis is eligible to apply.
- To apply for EnergyShare assistance, find your local EnergyShare agency by visiting our website www.dominionenergy.com,
or dial 2-1-1 to receive a referral to your local EnergyShare agency.

Reconnect Service: Once the full disconnect balance has been paid, the reconnect service order will be automatically issued. You
may view the status of your order by visiting www.dominionenergy.com and logging into your account. Please note if your order is
initiated between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. the reconnection fee will be $30.97. If your order is initiated between the hours of 5:01
p.m. to 6:59 a.m. the reconnection fee will be $133.24.
