    Some people believe that reading is always a good habit.

    Others feel it depends on which books a person is


    reading.
    Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.

    Main Idea: Exposure to A WIDE RANGE of reading materials
    improves VOCABULARY
    Explain: Different topics give people plenty of ideas, new concepts
    expose people to new words, when they research they
    understand
    Eg: Ordinary person in office reads about health problems, know
    certain medical terms

    Main Idea: Not all books have sense
    Explain/Eg: Novels- entertains a person’s imagination
    : Comic- past time
    : other reading materials such as magazines with
    horoscopes are non-sense waste person’s time
    Reading is a great hobby. It improves reading comprehension and
    can benefit a lot of individuals. Even though some say that reading
    any book is helpful, some people think that not all books are
    worth reading.

    On one hand, reading as a hobby is better than playing games or


    doing non-sense activities. When a person reads a book, he will
    improve his vocabulary. If a person reads different kinds of books,
    he will have plenty of great ideas. He will also know a lot of new
    words. If he does not understand, the person can look for the
    meaning in the internet or he can look for the definition of the
    word using the dictionary. For example, when a person reads
    about a book on health, he will know that the word ‘cardio’ is
    about the heart and if he reads the word ‘neuro’ he will learn that
    it is related to the brain.

    However, others say that reading a book is not always good


    because it depends on the type of book. Not all books have sense.
    For example novels only entertain a person’s imagination. Comics
    focus more on the pictures and have less sentences written. At the
    same time, other reading materials such as magazines with
    horoscopes are nonsense and wastes a person’s time. So, not all
    books are good for the person since it only focuses on simple
    ideas and will not help the person improve his vocabulary.

    In my opinion, regardless of the reading material, it will always be


    a good idea to spend time reading whatever book there is. Even
    though it is just a simple novel, reading will benefit the people in
    some way. Reading novels, might not improve vocabulary but it
    can improve one’s way of thinking.

    In conclusion, some might say that it is a great hobby while others


    believe that it depends on the material, but it is up to the person
    to decide whether to read informative or imaginative books.
