    My dear General Manager,

    Corruption impacts the very foundation of our economic progress


    and it becomes imperative for us to be committed to root it out by
    introducing various preventive and punitive measures including
    technological based initiatives in all aspects of our working. Further, there
    is a pressing need for all of us to maintain probity in public life, adhere to
    ethics and give utmost importance to maintain value based system. I have
    no doubt that all Railwaymen would ensure the same in areas under their
    control.

    2. Central Vigilance Commission(CVC) has decided that Vigilance


    Awareness Week for the year should be observed from 27th October to 2nd
    November, 2020. The Theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week is H T
    RA, HE ATRT -Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India,
    08.09.2020
    Prosperous India)". The CVC's Circular No. 09/09/2020 dated
    is available on CVC's website.

    3. As desired by the Commission, you may formulate an action plan for


    observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week that would ensure the
    in our
    objective of promoting integrity, transparency and accountability
    undertaken and initiatives launched
    working. I expect that the programmes
    in
    during the week would lead to perceptible progress on the stated theme
    the year ahead.

    4. A report on the observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week should


    be sent to PED(Vigilance), Railway Board by 15.11.2020.
