8. Project detail:
The poultry industry plays a vital role in global food production, supplying meat
and eggs to meet the nutritional needs of a growing population. This analysis
focuses on understanding the dynamics of the poultry sector, including production
practices, market forces, and the economic impact on stakeholders.

Goals/Objectives

 Propose strategies to optimize production costs and improve overall


economic viability.
 Identify potential revenue streams and market trends to enhance financial
sustainability.
 Recommend sustainable environmental practices, such as waste recycling
and efficient water management, to minimize the environmental impact.

Research Methodology :

Collaborate with industry experts, veterinarians, and technology specialists and


Conduct a comprehensive economic analysis, considering production costs and
market trends. Utilize scientific methods for measuring and analyzing
environmental impact. Collaborate with technology experts to evaluate feasibility
and benefits.

Understanding Major Cost Centre:

Chicken meat and eggs are one of the most easily available, abundant and cheap
sources of protein that can be made available to the masses, especially in tough
economic situation the citizens of Pakistan would need cheap supply of meat and
eggs. The following table shows major costs centres in the production of the
chicken by the farmers.

The table above clearly shows that feed is the major cost centre which is
around 69.7% of the entire cost of production. The cost of production varies
according to the variation in the cost of the feed in the industry.

Seminar/Workshop/Symposium

The seminar/workshop seeks to provide a platform for knowledge exchange,


collaboration, and discussion on innovative practices, emerging technologies, and
sustainable approaches in poultry farming. Bringing together farmers, industry
experts, researchers, and policymakers, the event aims to foster a holistic
understanding of modern poultry farming methods.

Fellowship/Stipend:
Fellowship/Stipend shall be paid at the following rates:

1. For Ph.D student (completed 18 years education in the relevant field)=

2. For M.Sc(Hons)/M.Phil student (completed 16 years education in the
relevant field) = Rs. 8000/PM

Service Charges (Audit/Account Fee):
