•• Factors : The number which exactly divide a given number are called factors.
Eg : factors of 15 are 1, 3, 5 and 15 itself.

•• Multiples : When a number is completely divisible by another number, then the former number is called the multiple of the
latter. Obviously, the former number contains the latter number.
Eg : 24 is a multiple of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24 itself.

•• Prime Number : A number is said to be a prime number if its factors are 1 and the number itself only .
Eg : 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29........ are Prime Numbers.

•• Co-Prime : Two number are said to be Co-Prime i.e, Prime to each other if there is no common factor except 1 in between
them
Eg : 5 and 7 are Co-Prime, 16 and 25 are co-prime

•• Common Factor : When a unique number divides exactly two or more given numbers then that number is called the
common
factor of the given numbers.
Eg : 5 is a common factor of 15 and 25.

•• Common Multiple : It is defined as number which is exactly divisible by each of the numbers under consideration.
Eg : 60 is a common multiple of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30.

♣ Product of two numbers( say M and N ) = ( Their H.C.F ) X ( Their L.C.M )
