    Application . . .
    Enclosure Space Heating in
    Electrically Classified Hazardous Areas
    The ESE-100-2(E) is a unique convection heater for
    enclosure space heating. This heater is primarily used for
    freeze protection in electrically classified hazardous areas.
    Self-Regulating heat output increases as ambient air 5
    temperature falls. Conversely, heat output decreases as
    ambient air temperature rises. The benefit is a lower
    temperature identification number and a lower possibility
    of enclosure overheating when compared to conventional
    constant watt heaters. Self-Regulating also means no
    possibility of accidental heater burn out! And, unlike
    conventional constant watt heaters, cost of ownership is
    lower because there is no maintenance cost involved with

    replacing thermal cutouts that heat age. 2
    Multiple heaters may be wired together to achieve higher
    total heat output. Heaters may operate uncontrolled or
    controlled with optional BT thermostats.

    BT . . . bimetallic thermostat is avail-
    able in two standard settings. The ther-
    mostat operates on either 230 Vac rated
    @ 8.3 amps. This versatile thermostat features a
    hermetically sealed switch and is approved for use
    in hazardous (classified) locations. It is easily as-
    sembled into a M20 NPT fitting.
