1 Read the article. Then tick (✓) the sentences T (true) or F (false) below. (10 points)

The Luckiest Man


Have you ever heard of Frane Selak?
He was born on 14th June, 1929, in Dubrovnik,
Croatia, and worked as a music teacher. Selak was
in seven big accidents – and survived each time.
That’s why Selak called himself the “luckiest man
in the world”. Frane Selak
In 1957, Selak was riding on a bus when it drove
off the road and fell into a river. Four passengers
died, but Selak and the bus driver got out of the
bus and swam to the side of the river. In 1962,
Selak was riding on a train when it had an
accident. Selak broke the train window and got
out. The most frightening accident happened in
1963 when he survived an aeroplane crash by
falling through
a broken door during the flight. Selak was in four
more accidents after that and survived each one.
In 2003, when Selak was 73, he won around
€900,000 in the lottery. Since Selak died in 2016,
many people have shared his story and Selak has
become famous.
