Equality, what is it exactly, its not 1+1=2 but its something much deeper, when

were talking in regards to equality we are talking about the fairness of two things,
just like in the scale, on one side there are 3 apples while at the other side there
are also 3 apples that’s what we call equality, it is the state of being equal be it
status, race, or gender.
On our society right now, men are seen as more powerful than women. There
have been many cases in which husbands abuse their wife’s. Perhaps its because
they are more physically stronger that they think they can do anything to their
partner.
Gender inequality, has it ended? Have we reached what we call equality? no not
yet. Gender inequality refers to the biased treatment between male and female.
This happens when one individual is treated more better than the other.
Gender inequality affects us so deeply in making us do actions such as suicide and
murder. Some commit suicide since they can’t take the criticization they are
getting from their parents, friends and strangers who don’t know how to mind
their own business, while some are murdered because they are seen as
disgusting.
Gender inequality has resulted for the world to be seen as an unstable and an
unsafe society to live in. Similarly, this problem exposes genders in different
dangers such as violence, rape and murder, resulting on greater conflicts,
angering families and friends wondering why they were killed when they were
just being them.
In the olden day’s women are forced to stay at home and do all household chores.
But today the world has evolved women can go out and do what but some
females can’t do that such as the poor they have no choice but to just stay home.
Superiority that’s what they want to gain, women want to be superior than men
so they can have freedom and won’t be controlled by men anymore, in some
countries when your offspring is a girl it is considered as not good, due to the fact
that boys are more important and more helpful.
Nevertheless, girls are such rare blessings in some families as they have someone
to talk, cook, command, and even to take care of her siblings, they can’t do what
men can do but they are helpful in many ways. But in some country’s women are
just treated like products, they send their daughter to marry someone rich just in
exchange of money, while some even use their daughters for their desire, these
women can’t speak up due to the fact that they will be killed or more they will be
chopped up and their organs will be sold just for them to be silenced.
They do the works all day and even the one working for the family, but what do
they get? Nothing, being tired all day and you come home and cook and do what,
but your ungrateful husband even complains, that’s how some families are.
Women are always belittled by society especially those who are teens, when they
wear revealing clothes such as crop top, they are immediately judged by the
people around them, they already assume that she will be pregnant at an early
age.

Women are paid less than men even though they always work overtime they
never get a raise on their salaries. Some women also work as prostitutes just to
get a mouthful of food. Men does not know how hard it is to be a woman
cooking, cleaning and even working for the family, experiencing period cramps,
suffering depression when you are heartbroken, getting pregnant and taking care
of the baby until it is given birth and the pain of giving birth, the difficulty of
taking care of a child. Men don’t experience just how much pain a woman has to
go through her entire life just to be known as a woman. In terms of giving birth if
a woman can’t give birth she is useless, and no one will marry her as the most
important step in a couple’s life is having a child, elders will gossip about her
being eggless, no matter how much women try to avoid this kind of situations,
they cannot.

They put on a tall frame in order not to be considered as weak or useless, they
want to cry but they can’t because they will be quickly judged as being gay, that’s
the mindset of people today, just showing a bit of an expression they say that you
are overreacting. Men are always wronged as being abusive and being a criminal,
hence these words anger them resulting on conflicts. But what I observed on the
world history, without men there will be no tv, phones, cars, electricity and other
more. Those with no works are considered as useless. The biggest difference on
men and women is that men are not that dramatic, while women just a little
mistake and they fight about it.
In our generation this day’s men need to be masculine, handsome and rich in
order for them to have a hot and beautiful wife. While in the past men don’t need
to be masculine or whatever to gain a beautiful wife as long as they can provide
for his family and also has a great personality it is enough.
This is why I don’t agree that we have reached equality, these words that some of
the most famous people said while standing up on helping gender inequality has
inspired me on helping it to be solved.
‘’No country in the world can yet say that they have yet achieved gender
equality’’ this are wording that Emma Watson spoke at the UN for the HeForShe
campaign, literally not one world declared that they have reached equality as
they are still busy fixing it. According to the Secretary-General of the United
Nations, gender inequality has always been the unfinished business of our time.
Because up till today they are still many who are fighting for gender equality but
the more they try to fix it the more the equal becomes inequal as some speakers
only talk about women’s right and only a little of men’s rights are included on
their speech where is the equality there when men can literally feel that they are
not invited.
“Every day I read the newspaper and just think, like, ‘Brothers, what’s wrong with
you guys? What’s wrong with us?’ We’re violent, we’re bullying. Just not handling
our business. I think empowering more women on the continent, that … is going
to lead to some better policies.” This words by Barack Obama made an impact on
gender inequality.
I’m scrolling on my social accounts and what I always come across are vids like
women killed because she did not suit her boyfriends’ taste. And some are killed
for human trafficking or killed for satisfaction.
According to some of my grandmas there are only two genders that is, male and
female only all the other genders are just made for the satisfaction of people, this
other genders include lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and others, they are being
disrespected by the society because they are seen as an eyesore, some even
disown their child because they can’t accept the fact that their child is gay.
But, is it really bad to be just one of the letters, we have our own life we have our
own path to take and we have our own story. For more than a decade this
problem has never been fixed, nor, not even 1 year was it fixed, it continued
everyday with no glimpse of surrender. Hence this tiny hole created on a piece of
paper is getting bigger as time passes by.
We are already faced with much greater conflicts and we will face more in the
future, but this one conflict has never been solved. Here in the Philippines we
treat others equally but some cannot accept the fact that they need to live on the
same planet the same as the gay people. They are also normal people like us but
some Karen’s consider them such as aliens or disgusting creatures.

We only have one world, and we are not the ones who created it so that we can
do anything to harm it, instead we should help it to make it a better place for us
and our future generations we still have a lot of ways to go.
