1.1 INTRODUCTION
Bangalore Pharmaceuticals and Research Laboratory PVT LTD, also known as BPRL is a
young and fast growing pharmaceutical company based in Bangalore which is into
Development, Manufacturing and Marketing of quality Herbal and Nutraceutical products with
a world class manufacturing facility. The state-of-the-art facility meets international standards
in respect to safety, quality and environment control norms. Our manufacturing facility is
located on a 4.5 acre plot that is owned by BPRL.
In BPRL, we believe in adhering to sound business ethics coupled with a management ethos
that has a very high esteem for its people, imbibing a sense of belief in traditional values,
reliance on innovative technology and a strong dependence on modern management concepts.
1.2 FOUNDER
BPRL was created by an eminent Doctor, Late Dr.S. T. Mady who enjoyed the position of a
leading medical practitioner in the garden city of Bangalore. The company started its operations
by manufacturing and distributing common products required by the medical profession in
Bangalore. The Company got its impetus for growth when Late Dr. S.T. Mady was joined by

his sons Late Sri S.S Mady and Sri S.T.R Mady, currently, Chairman and Managing director
of the Company and Sri S Jayaprakash Mady, Director (son of late Sri S.S Mady).
1.3 FORMATION
Bangalore Pharmaceutical and Research Laboratory Private Limited was founded in the year
1957 by Dr. Sural Thammaiah Mady, also known as S. T. Mady, an eminent doctor, with an
ambition of manufacturing good quality medicinal products to the public. The company started
it's operations by manufacturing and distributing general medicines in Bengaluru.
It later got it's impetus for growth when Dr. S. T. Mady was joined by his sons Mr. S. S. Mady
and Mr. S. T. R. Mady, both qualified pharmacists.
Wintac Limited (earlier known as Recon Limited) was established in the year 1987. as an off-
shoot of BPRL Pvt. Ltd.
BPRL later involved itself into the field of herbal health care by acquiring SAGAR
Pharmaceuticals, a reputed name among Ayurvedic companies. The Ayurvedic expertise of
SAGAR Pharmaceuticals combined with BPRL's manufacturing & marketing expertise
reached the market with time tested products with tangible results which contains the science
of Ayurveda.

Sun Pharma is a multinational company which was established by Mr. Dilip Shanghavi in the
year 1983 offering products to treat psychiatry. Today the company has various formulations
in different therapeutic fields, which are cardiology, psychiatry, neurology, gastroenterology
and diabetology. It is India's largest pharmaceutical company in the industry with respect to
it's revenue. In the FY 2023 it's total revenue from operations was calculated to be
₹37,102.63 Cr.
Divi's Laboratories
Dr. Reddy's laboratory is a pharmaceutical company established in India in the year 1984 by
Mr. Kallam Anji Reddy. It is headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana. The company has over

Cipla, also known as Chemical, Industrial & Pharmaceutical Laboratories, was established by
Mr. Khwaja Abdul Hamied in the year 1935. The company is the therapy leader in India for
anti-malarial with a market share of 34%. It is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Cipla
is the fourth largest pharmaceutical company in India. Its total revenue for the FY 2020 was
calculated ₹9,500 Cr.
