TASK 1
The pictures show information about average income and spending on food and clothes by an
average family in a city in the UK.
The table illustrates the amount of money which an average family earned and paid for food and clothes
while pie charts show the proportion of catagories which were spend SPENT on by people household
budget /s spending that pp allocated to / spent on 5 diff categories of products // changes in the
portion of budget for 5 diff household goods in UK in 2010 and 2013.

Overall, it is clear that from 2010 to 2013, the total income of an average family in UK decreased while
the money spent on food and clothes increased. In addition, British people spent much more money on
food than on clothes in both years.

According to the table, an average family in UK earned 29000 dollars in 2010 while they spend SPENT
14000 dollars on food and clothes. In 2013, the average income of a family fell to about 25000 dollars
and there was an a slight increase slightly with in the money spent on food and clothes, about 15000
dollars

Regarding the pie charts, in 2010 the percentage of meat and fish was the highest among all categories,
about 29 % but this figure dropped to 23% in 2013. Beside Besides / Likewise, there was a downward
trend in the rate of percentage of budget spent on clothes, from 15% to 13% between 2010 and 2013.
Specially Notably, the percentage of spending on other food remained the same over three years. In
contrast, the proportion of fruits and vegetables increased from 26% to 30%, becoming the biggest area
of spending for families. Finally, the figure for dairy products also experienced an uptick, rising by 4%
to 16% in 2013. and people spent more money on dairy products from 12% to 16%.

Write about the following topic:

In the future, it seems more difficult to live on the Earth. Some people think more money
should be spent on researching other planet to live, such as Mars. To what extent
do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, There are many large companies and countries which are investing a lot IT IS SOMETIMES
SUGGESTED THAT MORE MONEY SHOULD BE INVESTED IN on space researches with THE purpose to
find OF FINDING a new habitable planet, such as Mars. I disagree with this statement and argue that
governments should allocate more money to improve environmental problems on earth, instead of
wasting on outer space.

To begin with, there are several reasons why the governments should spend this money to improve
conditions on earth, AND NOT WASTE MONEY ON SPACE MISSION. Firsly, climate change and global
warming are big problems for the world. Right now, governments and private companies are
overspending on spaceships, rockets … , wasting billions of dollar. Instead, I believe Governments and
large organizations can SHOULD spend this allocate this money to envirionemntal causes, control the
cause and prevent this climate problem with practical actions such as planting trees to create a green
environment. This is a practical and effective action if INVESTED MORE HEAVILY more invested.
Secondly, Educating people about environmental protection should also be given attention. As a result,
more people will be more environmentally conscious and there will be more scientists to help research
