Dear Parents,

We are delighted to inform you that your ward has been selected to be a part of “SHREE
420”, being directed by Ms. Nisha Luthra for our 40th Founders celebrations in October 2024.

A workshop for the actors will be held on 8th and 9th August 2024 from 2p.m.-4p.m. in
the school premises. Attendance for all actors is mandatory for the workshop. Students
must come in their sports uniform on the above said dates.

Please note: Buses will be available at 4:00 p.m. for the return journey.

Please find attached the list of actors, singers and dancers.

Class IV

Dear Parents,

Our hearts are elated to see our brightest leaders, innovators and architects of tomorrow, precious
learners completely immersed in the joy of learning. Growth in their learning is evident in the joyous
progress that we witness everyday with your wards and their stupendous capacity to learn. We have
embarked on this journey together to facilitate them to quench their curiosity to reason and explore
beyond any limits.
In our endeavour to engage you in your ward’s learning odyssey, we share with you the immersive
education bulletin for the month of July, 2024.

You have at your perusal the Immersive Education plans for the Month of July, 2024 for the
Immersive Education learners of Classes 4. We have also attached a link for their pictures that capture
the snippets of learning and fun that the students had along with us in the month of July.
Looking forward to your continual support in this learning expedition of our independent explorers!!

Class IV
English  The children were captivated as they enacted the next thrilling chapter of
The Legend of Spud Murphy. They brainstormed new challenges and
imagined the amazing turns that could happen in the story. The
possibilities were endless!
 Next, the young writers unleashed their creativity, crafting vivid kennings
with mind-bending word pictures. Their imaginative descriptions left
everyone in awe.

Social science  The budding geographers got their hands dirty, constructing a 3D model of
India's mountains and plateaus using clay and playdoh. As they sculpted,
they learned the names of each majestic peak and fascinating plateau,
uncovering fascinating facts about these natural wonders.

Math  The students became geometry experts, measuring and calculating the
perimeter and area of all sorts of classroom objects. From chalkboards to
windows, notebooks to mirrors, they immersed themselves in the world of
shapes and measurements.
 And the recycled quadrilateral family tree they created was a sight to
behold!

Science  The children ventured outside, observing the leaves around them,
studying their veins, attachments, and arrangements. Back in the
classroom, they compiled their findings on vibrant charts.
 But the adventure didn't end there - they also experimented with the
amazing forces of friction and buoyancy, using sand, marbles, and
more to uncover the secrets of the natural world.

Financial Literacy  In the financial literacy sessions, the students revisited the concepts
covered in the previous three sessions, solidifying their
understanding. They then explored the concept of SMART goals
through an engaging story, and each student was tasked with
creating their own SMART goal as homework. The class later
discussed and reviewed these goals, ensuring that the students
grasped the importance of setting specific, measurable, achievable,
relevant, and time-bound objectives. Additionally, the students
delved into the concept of simple interest, enhancing their financial
knowledge and decision-making skills.

Class V
English  The students had the opportunity to create captivating booklets on
figurative expressions. They explored proverbs related to colors and
animals, delving into the rich tapestry of these linguistic gems.
 The class then ventured into the world of poetry, where they crafted
beautiful Haikus, showcasing their creativity and mastery of this
concise poetic form.
 The students also demonstrated their poetic prowess by writing
poems that incorporated personification, similes, and metaphors,
bringing their words to life with vivid imagery and captivating
comparisons.

Social science  The students engaged in hands-on activities, where the students
drew diagrams to deepen their understanding of the circle of
illumination and the inclination of Earth's axis. These visual
representations helped them grasp the intricacies of these key
concepts in a more engaging and memorable way.

Math  The students explored the area calculation of irregular polygons.


 Using a table as the base, the students created their own unique
polygons and calculated the area, honing their problem-solving skills
and spatial awareness.

Science  The students ignited the students' curiosity with a series of exciting
experiments and activities related to the concept of force. They
delved into "Force Fun Activities," explored the wonders of "Anti-
Gravity Marble," created "Heart Fans," discovered ways to "Lift
Marble without Touching," and even witnessed the mesmerizing
"Pencil Dance." These hands-on experiences not only taught the
students about the principles of force but also fostered their love for
scientific exploration.

 Additionally, the students embarked on a nature walk and created


flower guide cards, deepening their appreciation for the natural
world. They also delved into the evolutionary tree of animals,
tracing the intricate connections between various species. Finally,
the students engaged in testing the conductivities of different
liquors, broadening their understanding of scientific properties.

English  The students delved into the art of film criticism, where the students
had the opportunity to write engaging film reviews. They analyzed
the various elements of their chosen films, from the compelling
storylines to the captivating performances, and crafted thoughtful
critiques that showcased their analytical skills and appreciation for
the cinematic medium.

 The students then stepped into the shoes of seasoned journalists, as


they planned and executed interviews with their peers. With a keen
eye for detail and a natural curiosity, they asked thought-provoking
questions, capturing the unique perspectives and experiences of their
interview subjects. The students then presented their interviews to
the class, honing their public speaking skills and sharing the insights
they had gathered.

Social science  The students embarked on an in-depth exploration of various forms


of government, including monarchy, dictatorship, democracy, and
theocracy. The students delved into researching the defining
characteristics of each system, examining their advantages and
disadvantages, and identifying the countries that have adopted these
different models of administration. This comprehensive study
allowed the students to develop a deeper understanding of the
diverse political structures that shape the world around them.

Math  The students delved into the world of integers, engaging in a


thought-provoking worksheet titled "It's All a Matter of Degree."
They also explored the concept of congruence in art, where they
participated in a hands-on activity that showcased the fascinating
mathematical principles underlying artistic creations.

Science  The students continued its captivating journey of exploration, with


the students delving deeper into the experiments and activities
related to the concept of force. They constructed keys, engaging in
the "Matchstick" activity, and investigated the intriguing transfer of
energy.
 The students also had the opportunity to classify their favorite
animal from the NCC cards, creating a detailed table of its kingdom,
phylum, subphylum, class, and order. Additionally, they built their
own "Rubber Band Cars," exploring the fascinating conversion of
energy.

Financial Literacy  In the financial literacy sessions, the students embarked on a


comprehensive understanding of the core concepts of income,
expense, assets, liabilities, and net worth. They completed a thought-
provoking questionnaire, delving into the intricacies of these
financial elements. The class also explored the fascinating world of
Indian currency, learning about the functions of the mint and
intriguing facts about the nation's monetary system.
