El pasado simple es uno de los tiempos verbales más utilizados en inglés, ya que nos permite hablar

sobre eventos y acciones que ocurrieron y terminaron en el pasado. Vamos a aprender cómo usarlo,
formarlo y las diferencias entre verbos regulares e irregulares.

VERB TO BE - PAST FORM


El verbo “to be” que trabajamos en el primer período es un verbo irregular, esto quiere decir que tiene
su forma especial para conjugarse en el pasado. Mira con atención el siguiente recuadro para
determinar cuál es la forma del verbo to be en pasado según el sujeto de la oración.

AFFIRMATIVE FORM

Como puedes observar en la imagen para formar este tiempo verbal necesitamos que el verbo
principal de la oración esté en pasado. Para poder determinar la forma pasada del verbo primero
debemos diferenciar si es un verbo regular o uno irregular.
