 COURSE NAME : TEACHING SCIENCE (GENERAL BIOLOGY AND GENERAL CHEMISTRY)
 COURSE NUMBER : EED3

 COURSE CREDIT : 3 UNITS
 COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course includes understanding of spiraling in basic science concepts and application of science inquiry in Biology and Chemistry. It also demonstrates strategies
in teaching elementary science, development of instructional materials and assessment.

b. Explain the concepts of heredity, specifically in the scope of offspring, stages in cycles, and variation of biodiversity. In chemistry,
explain the concepts of atomic theory, types of chemical bonding and chemical calculations. 

c. Illustrate the processes involved in the evolution and ecosystems (Biology).


 
Illustrate the nature and types of chemical bonding (Chemistry).
d. Distinguish the various properties and structure of matter, including the changes that matter undergo; and

e. Perform pedagogical methodologies of Teaching Science in primary grades, including utilization of instructional materials, ICTs, and
the like.  

Classroom Policies:
Only official enrolled students are allowed to attend in the class
All students are required to attend their classes regularly.
Attendance is counted from the first regular class meeting.
Punctuality is a must.
A validated students' identification card must always be worn by all students while attending the class.
Any form of dishonesty shall be dealt with accordingly.
Cheating is strictly prohibited.
Students who incur absences equivalent to more than 20% of the course hours required shall be dropped from the course provided he/she has not taken any exam without valid reason.
