Introduction

Republic Act No. 9163, also known as the “National Service Training Program
(NSTP) Act of 2001” declares the affirmed action of the prime duty of the government
to serve and protect its citizens. In turn, it shall be the responsibility of all citizens to
defend the security of the State and in fulfilment thereof, the government may require
each citizen to render personal, military or civil service. The state must foster civic
consciousness in young people and enhance their physical, moral, spiritual,
intellectual, and social well-being in light of their critical role in the development of
the nation. It will foster nationalism and patriotism in the youth and increase their
engagement in public and civic issues. In order to achieve these objectives, the
youth—who are the country's most important resource—must be inspired, prepared,
organized, and mobilized for military service, literacy, civic engagement, and other
like endeavors

The National Service Training Program’s (NSTP) Objectives:

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) in the Philippines serves
several key purposes:

 Increasing Awareness of Civic Issues: The program is aimed at

developing civic consciousness among the youth, instilling in them
ethics of service, patriotism, and a sense of responsibility towards
their community and country.

 Developing Values and Skills: NSTP aims to nurture the physical,

moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social well-being of students. It
provides opportunities for students to acquire valuable life skills,
practical knowledge, and leadership abilities.

 Encouraging Defense Readiness: NSTP aims to enhance defense

preparedness by providing students with military education and
training through the ROTC component, mobilizing them for
potential national defense roles.

 Encouraging Patriotism and Nationalism: The program aims to

foster a sense of patriotism and nationalism among the youth,
Page |7

encouraging their active participation in public and civic affairs and

promoting a deeper connection to their country

 Service and Empowerment for Youth: NSTP encourages youth

involvement in nation-building activities, community service, and
social impact projects. It empowers young individuals to actively
contribute to the betterment of society and to become responsible
citizens.

In conclusion, the National Service Training Program is intended to

produce well-rounded individuals who are not only physically and
psychologically equipped for defense positions, but also socially
conscious, patriotic, and active contributors to the well-being of their
country and communities.

Narrative Report on Mandatory Landscaping

The project's objective is to enhance cleanliness and create a pleasant

environment within the campus. Our designated area is half of the oval
at Pambayang Kolehiyo ng Mauban. As part of our National Service
Training Program (NSTP), we are required to complete 32 hours of
practical experience in this assigned area.

To fulfill the 32-hour task, we, a group of 1st-year BSMA students, took
action on May 8, 2024, by initiating the cleaning of the assigned half of
the oval. Our initial tasks included grass cutting and the removal of
weeds, particularly the "makahiya" plants and other types of weeds and
grass. On the early morning of June 19, 2024, some of us traveled to
Manuba Brgy. Santol, Mauban Quezon, to gather white river stones for
our beautification process. Meanwhile, other BSMA students continued
cleaning the oval by clearing out all weeds and grass, as well as
trimming dry branches of trees in the area. Our team proceeded with
cleaning the half of the oval and began decorating/landscaping by
placing white river stones around some of the trees in the field. After
completing the beautification process, we ensured to maintain
cleanliness by sweeping the area every time we worked.

The landscaping project was not only successful but also provided us
with valuable lessons in various aspects. To complete the task,
cooperation was essential. We learned the significance of supporting
each other and working together to achieve a satisfactory outcome. We
strongly believe in the remarkable power of teamwork to enhance
productivity, job satisfaction, and individual performance.

Narrative Report on First Aid and Basic Life Support Training

“Save lives with first Aid and BLS”

Do we really need to train ourselves first aid and basic life support? As
a student this question is what comes to mind when we first heard that
we are going to be learning first aid. Because we thought we know basic
knowledge about this but we're wrong. Being able to save lives is not
just knowing CPR or First Aid, we have to be prepared and do things
step by step process. And that is what we learned about NSTP, it is
important to know whether when or how we should react when someone
is hurt or at risk.

Thanks to our NSTP 2 adviser, Sir. John Karlo D. Nava, and the
president of ERT Pres. Marlo Estocado and his ERT members. Who
taught us everything we need to know on how we could help others by
doing basic first aid. And with the knowledge on how to save lives,
ordinary people become extraordinary heroes. This memorable day was
held on the 2nd day of June, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at the Pambayang
Kolehiyo ng Mauban room 1.

Lastly, we the students of BSMA was thrilled to be able to practice and

train ourselves on how to properly do basic life support training. We must
admit it was not as easy, and it just proves that saving lives is not easy,
you are holding someone's life in your hands and it's up to you whether
they live or not. That's why we appreciate your work and dedication.
Please continue your good deeds and spread your knowledge about
saving lives because who knows what comes next.

Narrative Report on Community Service

As business student we are not just only care for our business but we
also care our community environment.

Under the guidance of Mr. Jon Karlo D. Nava our NSTP instructor, we
are first year business student organized a community service project
entitled Alay Linis in Brgy. Bagong Bayan Mauban, Quezon. The activity
took place on June 16, 202, from 6:00 am- 8:00 am.

At first our leader divided our section and give assigned leaders in every
street to clean. We do divide our section to make sure that all streets in
Bagong Bayan will clean the surroundings. Every member brought
cleaning material such as dust pan, broom and garbage bag. Then, we
go to our assigned street to start sweeping the roads/ highways and
canal. We remove all the garbage that we see along the way. After
cleaning the streets, we felt tired but it makes us happy because we've
been part of this community service.

School Community Service

During our school Community Service which is 32 hours that we
cleaned the oval I learned to be come early. My experience was very
memorable day by day. I learned the importance of teamwork, and
communication, The 32 hours of NSTP community service instilled in me
a renewed sense of purpose. It reminded me of the importance of giving
back and contributing to the betterment of society. The experience
sparked a desire to continue engaging in community service, finding
ways to make a positive impact beyond the requirements. The
experience taught me the power of collective action, the importance of
giving back, and the profound impact we can have when we work
together to build a better future.

First Aid and Basic Life Support

My recent First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) training has been a
transformative experience, equipping me with vital skills that have
empowered me to respond confidently and effectively in emergencies.
The journey has been one of learning, self-discovery, and a profound
sense of preparedness. The training provided me with a comprehensive
understanding of common injuries and emergencies, from minor cuts
and burns to life-threatening situations like cardiac arrest. The
knowledge gained has instilled in me a sense of confidence and a
newfound ability to assess situations calmly and rationally. The hands-on
training was invaluable, allowing me to practice essential skills like CPR,
wound care, and basic airway management. The practical application of
the knowledge solidified my understanding and made me feel more
prepared to act decisively in real-life emergencies. The First Aid and BLS
P a g e | 17

training has been a truly empowering experience. It has equipped me

with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively in
emergencies, not just for myself but for my community. The training has
instilled in me a sense of responsibility and a lifelong commitment to
preparedness, ensuring that I am ready to act decisively and
compassionately in critical moments.

Community Service (Alay Linis)

During our Community Service Alay Linis in Brgy. Bagong Bayan it is 2
hours cleaning and I learned the importance of teamwork in order to
make the task easier. I learned to being a responsible person especially
when throwing the garbage in right trash can. Community service, for
me, has been more than just ticking off boxes on a list. It's been a
journey of personal growth, fostering a deeper connection with my
community, and discovering the profound impact of giving back.
Initially, my involvement in community service was driven by a desire to
fulfill a requirement or gain a sense of accomplishment. However, as I
immersed myself in various projects, I began to realize the
transformative power of serving others.

My reflection on school community service (cleaning the oval) is that

students or individuals must participate in school community service or
cleaning the oval, and teamwork is important to do the task effectively. I
realized that it's important to know the basics because things are easy to
do when you love doing them. Furthermore, there should be unity in the
class so that the task, such as sweeping and cutting the grass, becomes
smoother or easier, and it feels good and satisfying to clean half of the
oval by working with your classmates. It is not about accomplishing the
task but building good relationships with classmates because of serving
the community. I have learned that in everything we do, we must look at
the wider perspective, which can be the way for us to grow and mature
as people and understand the value of each individual's hard work. In
addition, I enjoy involving myself in something productive and completing
community service makes me happy because of the contribution to help
maintain the cleanliness of the half of the oval where community service
has been meaningful.
First Aid and Basic life support
During our first aid and basic life support training, I realized how
important it is to provide first aid immediately to those who have suffered
small or major injuries to preserve life and prevent infection. As a
student, it is important to know first aid procedures or steps such as
wound dressing, CPR, and the proper way to handle an injury or fracture
that an individual can do during a medical emergency to reduce the
severity of the injury and save the person from disability. In addition, I
learned that people who provide first aid must be skilled and
knowledgeable in handling various medical conditions. Furthermore,
because of the training in first aid, I had the courage and confidence in
myself that I could help and do the steps and procedures in an
emergency to save the life of the person who needed help. I realized
that you should be calm and not panic when responding to medical
emergencies to prevent mistakes. As a student or individual, first aid and
basic life support can help us save others during difficulty, and by using
the procedures or steps of first aid, you can save someone's life.
P a g e | 19

Individuals or communities can benefit from this first aid and basic life
that people can use if there is an emergency in their community.
Community Service
As a student, it is a fulfilling experience to participate in the community
service cleaning that my classmates and I did in barangay Bagong
Bayan, where the area we cleaned was Quezon St. I was happy to
sweep the trash or dirt along the way to make sure that the surroundings
were clean; even if there was a little rain, it did not become an obstacle
to continuing our cleaning, and it allowed us to be more patient and
hardworking for our goal of maintaining the cleanliness of the place, and
people should throw their trash properly. I realized that even if we feel
tired, it is replaced by a smile because we can help simply protect the
environment. In addition, through this activity, we can build a good
relationship with our classmates and the people we can socialize with
through this community service. Cleaning the surroundings made me
realize I should engage more in activities like this, and people should
observe their surroundings and maintain cleanliness by cleaning their
surroundings. As individuals, we should do our part to keep our
surroundings clean and participate in the community if there is an activity
about cleaning up. Furthermore, I learned the importance of community
service for individuals or communities where we can join an activity, and
the objective is to take care of the environment.

School Community Service

My reflection in Cleaning in the oval is enjoyable, and it makes you
realize the hard work of the school utility staff. When cleaning, it should
come from the heart, not just for grades but to help the school. Through
this, you learn to manage your time. From what I learned during that
time, every person's time is valuable.

First Aid and Basic life support

My reflection in First Aid and Basic Life Support, I learned how to
perform CPR on a person and what to do when someone has a heart
attack, among other things. You can already apply this knowledge to
yourself, and you also need to be a responsible person. Additionally, you
will know what to do if someone breaks a bone.

Community Service
My reflection in community service are engaging activities that benefit
the community, and its help us to develop time management skills to
make a positive impact on society, As students bringing people together
with a shared purpose and strengthening social bonds.

materials such as broom and knife. Then, i started to help my
classmates in cleaning the area. I also do cut some grass especially the
'makahiya plants'. The other day i put some white stones on the plants
and sweeping the leaves that already cut to maintain cleanliness. It's not

During our basic first aid activity, i realize how am i grateful that i
learned on how to do a first aid with the help of ERT students and our

My reflection about School Community service and First Aid Basic life
support. Community service is a very special and important activity when
it comes to wanting to not only better your school but also connect with
the community in a way that is not possible in your everyday life. For this
semester I experimented with a different types of community service, it
ranges all the way from cleaned our school and to know the first aid and
Basic life support. Doing all of these things really opened up my eyes, it
made me realize how much our community needs our help, and if we do
not put forth the effort nothing is going to change or get better. I am not
saying what I did over this semester changed anything, but I now know
all the benefits of community service and hope that one day in the near
future I can contribute in a way that is beneficial to others of my
community.

First Aid and Basic Life Support

Knowledge in First Aid has its benefits. Accidents are inevitable, and
there is no guarantee that people are safe from any physical injury,

School Community Service

Through my school social work, I understood the power of community
work in schools. And, for example, we don't see the power of mediators
in school. We have been so busy running our own businesses that we
have forgotten how important it is to keep schools clean and tidy for
those who work as aides. To fulfill part of the NSTP project, we were
tasked with clearing the oval within 32 hours. We do it whenever we are
free. He also taught us unity and love for each other. This also trains our
mind to be patient, calm and wise. We thank NSTP consultants for
trusting us with this work.

situations. The first aid and BLS training was truly an enriching
experience.
It has given me the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond
effectively to emergency situations, not only for myself but also for my
community. The training instilled in me a sense of responsibility and
preparedness for a lifelong commitment, preparing me to act decisively

Community Service
While we were serving the people at Brgy. Alay Linis. After cleaning for
two hours at Bagong Bayan, I learned how crucial teamwork is to
ensuring that the activity is done more efficiently. I took on more
responsibility, particularly with regard to disposing of the trash correctly.
Serving the community has meant more to me than just ticking things off
a list. It's been a journey of self-actualization, growing closer to my
community, and understanding the huge advantages of giving back. My
initial reasons for doing community service were to fulfil a requirement or
to feel as though I had accomplished something. Keeping our community
clean is crucial to our ability to prevent disasters, all things considered.

School community service:

This reflection delves into the complex landscape of school community
service, looking at its potential benefits and challenges, as well as its
impact on individual character. School community service fundamentally
embodies the principle of civic duty. It recognises that each individual
has a responsibility to contribute to the well-being of their community, not
just as a passive recipient, but also as an active participant. This
obligation goes beyond self-interest and incorporates a sense of shared
responsibility for the greater good. Individuals who participate in service
gain firsthand knowledge of the needs and challenges that others face,
fostering empathy and a greater appreciation for society's
interconnectedness. I am very satisfied because I can do such a simple
thing to help our environment. extremely memorable because you will do
it with your heart.

First Aid Basic Life Support

P a g e | 30

The act of delivering first aid, which appears basic but profound, has
left an indelible impression on my worldview. It's more than simply a
collection of procedures; it demonstrates the human potential for
compassion, resilience, and a fundamental desire to assist others in their
time of need. I was first apprehensive about first aid. The prospect of
dealing with an emergency, of having to act decisively in a time of crisis,
filled me with worry and doubt. Learning the fundamentals of first aid,
from basic wound care to CPR, gave me a sense of confidence and
preparation. I had a hard time with CPR but it's okay because it also
helps me so that I have a little knowledge. It wasn't simply knowing what
to do it was understanding the basic principles of human physiology and
the importance.

Community Service
In the cleanup offering, I am happy because some barangays have
been helped to clean up their environment. It is a tangible expression of
our connection to the natural world, a commitment to the future, and a
powerful symbol of community service. My recent experience
participating in a community service initiative has left an indelible mark
on my perspective, revealing the transformative power of this seemingly
simple act. Initially, I approached the task with a sense of duty, a desire
to contribute to a worthy cause.

School Community Service

My experience during the school community
service to first and last is very important that the environment is clean
and even more beautiful if it is clean our school will have a beautiful view
or design especially The oval and in the 32 hours I spent I will sweep
and then pull out the weeds and the hardest part that I had a hard time
with was removing the embarrassing ones. That's where I was wounded
by thorns because I also learned that unity and love clean our
environment is very important.

First Aid and Basic life support

For basic first aid life support I learned what to do when broken when
there is a possible accident that is not expected it's called accident is
should not panic and then me as ert should always be ready always
carry first aid and and the most important is You should not leave the
patient because the call there is abandonment and must be safe The
patient and then the place The people around and as a first aider you
must know what you are doing you must have a good characteristic and
for the first aid it's all about first aid to the patient I learned how to handle
the patients properly.
P a g e | 32

Community Service
For community service so we started at 6:00 am and we finished at 8 so
what I learned was part community service so bara barangay was
assigned then there we went around so every way we went there was
trash like plastic all over the place and then leaves and of course we
have a trash bin so the hardest part of sweeping is the trash in the bang-
bang, it's really hard to sweep because it smells The smell The smell is
very stinky but it's still swept, just be patient if you want to clean it so for
the 3hrs when we were sweeping what I also learned is that when the
environment is clean it's very nice to look at and it's nice to walk then the
air is so fresh and it's really tired yes of course but worth it.

Community service involving cleaning can be a deeply impactful

experience, both for the community and for individuals involved. Here
are some reflections on community service in cleaning: 1. Sense of
Contributions- Participating in cleaning activities within the community
provides a tangible way to contribute positively. Whether it's picking up
litter in a park or helping to clean up after an event, you can see the
immediate impact of your efforts. 2. Building Relationships- Cleaning
activities often bring people together from diverse backgrounds. Working
alongside others towards a common goal fosters a sense of camaraderie
and community spirit. 3. Environmental Awareness- Through cleaning,
one becomes more aware of environmental issues such as pollution and
waste management. This awareness can lead to personal lifestyle
changes and advocacy for better environmental practices. 4. Learning
Humility and Gratitude-Engaging in cleaning tasks can be humbling,
reminding us of the effort required to maintain a clean and pleasant
environment. It also cultivates gratitude for the work of sanitation
workers and others who clean our communities daily. 5. Skill
Development- Cleaning activities can develop practical skills such as
organization, teamwork, and attention to detail. These skills are valuable
in both personal and professional settings. 6. Personal Growth- Serving
the community through cleaning can enhance personal growth by
fostering a sense of responsibility, empathy, and a broader perspective
P a g e | 35

on societal challenges. 7. Long-lasting Impact-While cleaning may seem

like a temporary fix, it contributes to the long-term health and well-being
of the community. It sets an example for others and encourages a
culture of civic responsibility. Reflecting on these aspects can deepen
one's appreciation for the importance of community service in cleaning
and motivate continued engagement in such activities. Reflecting on first
aid and basic life support (BLS) involves considering their fundamental
importance in emergency situations. First aid encompasses the initial
assistance provided to a person suffering from injury or illness, aiming to
stabilize their condition until professional medical help arrives. It's crucial
because it can significantly impact outcomes, from preventing further
harm to potentially saving lives. Basic life support, on the other hand,
focuses on immediate actions to sustain life when someone's breathing
or circulation has stopped. Skills like CPR (cardiopulmonary
resuscitation) and using automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are
central to BLS, designed to maintain oxygenated blood flow to vital
organs until advanced care is available. Reflecting on these concepts
involves acknowledging their practical applications in real-life scenarios,
the importance of timely intervention, and the empowerment that comes
with knowing how to help in emergencies. It also underscores the
responsibility to stay current with training and certifications, as guidelines
and techniques can evolve based on medical advancements. Moreover,
reflecting on first aid and BLS prompts consideration of broader societal
benefits, such as fostering a safer community and potentially reducing
the severity of injuries or complications when emergencies occur.
Ultimately, both first aid and BLS embody the principle that immediate,
informed action can make a critical difference in someone's survival and
recovery.

School Community Service

As I reflect about cleaning half of the PKM oval as part of School
Community Service was a valuable experience that really left an impact
on me. Assigned by our teacher, we were assigned to devote 32 hours
to this activity to help the school grounds stay clean and tidy. First, I
must admit that at the beginning of the task, there were doubts in my
mind, that I myself was truly skeptical about my ability to complete the 32
hours of work. Eventually we finished it. We start cleaning at 6 o'clock in
the morning so that the heat of the weather does not reach us. Indeed, it
was naturally tiring, but the clear and direct results of our efforts
compensated for all the toil. Seeing how that part of the oval was
gradually replaced by a clean and organized area was very satisfying as
it underlined the lessons of patience and effective teamwork. The
physical effort was replaced by the sense of satisfaction and pride that
flowed from the knowledge that the hard work we were doing had made
a significant improvement in the school environment for everyone. From
this experience, I learned that individual dedication and collective action
make a difference. It showed how all shared issues can be rewards for
their dedicated service and teamwork. From this work, I learned not only
the virtue of hard work and perseverance but also a greater appreciation
of how our actions can have a collective effect in creating a cleaner,
more hospitable, and orderly environment of school.
First Aid
Participating in First Aid and Basic Life Support training on June 2 was
an excellent and invaluable experience that gave me a comprehensive
understanding of important skills such as proper wound bandaging and
CPR techniques. These newfound skills not only equipped me with the
necessary knowledge to administer critical aid during emergencies but
P a g e | 37

also cultivated a strong sense of preparedness and self-confidence in

my capacity to effectively manage the high-pressure situations.
Mastering the correct protocols for delivering first aid interventions and
saving lives has given me the confidence to act quickly and precisely in
moments of medical crisis. Despite being a student, this training greatly
increased my readiness to have a positive impact on outcomes during
emergencies, emphasizing the profound value of having lifesaving skills-
lives and the responsibility that comes with being able to save lives in
times of need.

Community Service
As I reflect in community service in Barangay Bagong Bayan on June
16. It was a valuable experience that not only reinforced the value of
giving back to the community but also taught me valuable lessons about
teamwork, resilience, and compassion. With the cooperation of my
classmates, our president divided us, she assigned cleaners to every
street in the barangay so that everywhere would be clean. During two
hours of community service, my classmates and I helped and
collaborated in cleaning up. This emphasizes the importance of unity
and cooperation in achieving of common purpose. Despite unexpected
challenges like rain, we showed resilience and adaptability by finding
shelter and then continuing our work with renewed determination. This
experience instilled in me the importance of perseverance and the
fulfillment that comes from making a positive impact in the lives of
others. Witnessing the joy and gratitude of community members as we
clean their streets further emphasizes the power of service and the
visible results of collective efforts. Through community service
experience, I learned that even small acts of kindness and dedication
can contribute to a greater sense of community well-being and foster a
spirit of empathy and solidarity among individuals.

During our time doing the school community service, I realize the
struggle of our local utility at school. And as a student we don't usually
see the hard work of our facilitators at school. We're too busy doing our
own business that we forgot how important it is to keep our school neat
and tardy for those who do their job as a facilitator. As for partial
fulfilment in our subject NSTP, we were assigned to clean the oval within
32 hours. Every free hour that we have, we manage to do it little by little.
This also taught us unity and compassion towards each other. This also
exercise our minds to be patient, calm, and understanding. Thanks to
our NSTP adviser for trusting us with this activity.

First Aid and Basic life support

Learning First Aid and Basic Life Support taught us the importance of
doing the right step by step process to save lives. This fair showcases
the knowledge and skills of our ERT members of PKM. As a student, I'm
very happy to know everything about this fair, and these kinds of
activities should be spread more because with enough knowledge it
could help those in need.

Community Service
For our community service we did "Alay Linis" where we cleaned the

encourage others to do the same because with this voluntary act, even
though it is a subject fulfilment we can be a role model for our local
community to be clean and neat to our environment.

This quote was really related to what we've done during the NSTP 2,
with this project I've learned that once you are on your feet cleaning the
surrounding or you designated area you feel mad at anyone who'll throw
garbage on it, this activity thought me on how to have s discipline in
terms of proper waste disposal it also gives us the unity to perform this
task well.

First Aid and Basic Life Support

With this activity, the prior knowledge I have widened, it enlightened
me to the things that we really need to know, it thought us to have the
knowledge about saving lives or even our own. We can be someone's
life hero, and with this task some other unexpected emergency can be
able to prevent something earlier.

Even though it is exhausting, we have to
finish it before the finals because it is also
for us, our grades, and if the time is not
complete we can fail this subject. So, we persevered to finish it just to
have good grades, we had to come up with 32 hours to clean or beautify
our area. In this activity I learned that we need to clean our environment
to make it clean.

First Aid and Basic life support

In the activity we did, this was an important one for me because here
I learned a lot about what first aid is, and I learned also how to use a
triangular bandage. In this activity I learned a lot because of what I
learned I can apply it to someone like I can save a life of a person who in

My reflection in School Community
Service. One of the most significant lessons from this experience was
the importance of teamwork. Cleaning such a half area could have been
overwhelming for an individual, but by dividing the tasks and working
collaboratively, we were able to complete the job efficiently.
We always clean at time, but I tend to be late sometimes. Maintaining its
cleanliness not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also ensures it
remains a safe and pleasant space for everyone. It is not just about
fulfilling a requirement but about making a meaningful contribution to the
community. Through such activities, we develop empathy, learn the
value of hard work, and understand the impact of our actions on others.

First Aid and Basic life support

My reflection in our first aid training, I learned fundamental first aid
procedures such as CPR, wound dressing, how to handle fractures and
burns and the steps to assess and manage different types of injuries.
These skills are crucial as they can significantly increase the chances of
survival and recovery in emergency situations. The training has boosted
my confidence to act promptly and effectively during emergencies.
Knowing what steps to take in various scenarios has diminished my fear
of making mistakes when someone's life is at risk. This helps us incase
of emergency.

Community Service
Participating in the community service of cleaning Quezon St. was an
enlightening and fulfilling experience. The cleanup activity took place

amidst light rain, which initially seemed like a potential obstacle.

However, the rain did not dampen our spirits. Instead, it became a
symbol of the challenges communities often face and overcome
together. Our main objective was to promote cleanliness and improve
the living conditions in the area. This activity not only enhanced my
sense of responsibility towards my community but also inspired me to
engage in more environmental initiatives. I gained valuable insights into
the importance of community collaboration and environmental care. I
learned how to efficiently organize tasks and work as part of a team. I
plan to continue participating in similar activities and advocate for
sustainable practices within my community.

We are all aware of the various benefits of community service, and I
hope that one day in the near future, I will be able to serve in a way that
benefits others in my community. It helped you have a better knowledge
of one of the learning goals while also helping to clean up our school.

First Aid Basic Life Support Training

Is essential because it teaches people how to handle critical medical
emergencies like cardiac arrest and obstructed airways. They
emphasized the importance of starting immediate chest compressions
and rescue breaths in the event of cardiac arrest, as well as the critical
role that bystanders play in intervening before professional medical help
arrives.it can help to tha students to provide knowledge base for dealing
with any medical emergencies they may be faced.

Community service
Is a unique and significant activity for those who desire to improve their
community while also connecting with it in ways that are not feasible in
regular life. Doing all of these activities truly opened my eyes and made
me see how much our community needs our support, and if we don't put
forth the effort, nothing will change or improve.

SCHOOL COMMUNITY SERVICE
I Reflected that cleaning is a great way
to provide community service since it
does more than just clean up physical areas, it also helps people feel
more connected to the community and more responsible. It's a practical
method to take good care of common areas and inspire others to follow
suit. Furthermore, when participants collaborate to improve their
neighborhood as a place to live, community service cleaning fosters a
sense of pride and unity. All things considered, it's a worthwhile way to
give back and have a good influence locally.

First Aid and Basic Life Support

I learned that first aid gives us the tools to calmly analyze
circumstances, provide emergency care, and stabilize injuries until more
assistance arrives. Acquiring knowledge of first aid and basic life support
is extremely beneficial as it enables people to react appropriately in
emergency situations. These abilities transcend abstract concepts and
offer useful instruments that may even save lives. For life to be
preserved during life-threatening situations like cardiac arrest, BLS,
which includes CPR procedures, is essential. Acquiring these abilities
develops a sense of responsibility for the welfare of the community in
addition to boosting confidence. In the end, investing in first aid and BLS
training is crucial for being prepared and having empathy for others.
In our alay linis, or community service, I learned that having unity as a
group is the easiest way to finish a group task like cleaning a community
area in Bagong Bayan and having an assigned site to clean or do the
community service. And doing it with our hearts is like helping a
community. Even though I’m still a student, I am happy and have learned

Participating in school community service activities, such as cleaning

the oval, alay linis and receiving training in first aid and basic life support
are experiences that have left a lasting impact on my personal growth
and sense of social responsibility. These activities thought me the
significance of community service, the value of acquiring life-saving
skills, and the lessons learned through collaboration and teamwork.

School Community Service

As I participate in our community service, I have learned that to fulfil
our 32 hours task we must have a dedication, passion and a lot of efforts
to complete this. Although it’s a bit annoying to do our community
Service in our freetime but as a student who is obliged to complete such
task must be responsible and be productive to attain a satisfactory
individual performance. In this activity I have learned that in order for us
to have a good outcome we must work as a team and be responsible in
our own ways. It teaches us the importance of collaboration,
communication, and coordination to achieve success in a group setting.
Cleaning the oval teaches awareness about the importance of
environmental conservation and cleanliness. It encourages us to take
care of their surroundings and promote a sustainable environment.
First Aid and Basic Life Support Training
Engaging in a first aid training and basic life support is very important
for me as a student, individual and citizen of my community. This training
thought me that acquiring knowledge and skills in first aid and basic life
support empowers individuals to take action and provide immediate
assistance in critical situations. This training instills confidence in me the
ability to make a difference and potentially save lives. The training in first
aid equips me with essential life-saving skills, such as CPR, wound care,
and handling choking incidents. These skills will help me help others in
times of need.
Community Service
The community service held in my barangay made realized the
importance of giving back to the community. As our section 1BSMA
conduct our “Alay Linis” in Brgy. Bagong Bayan I was able to help my

fellow citizens to clean the place we are living. It gives a significant

impact on myself realizing that I could make a difference in my
community even just by cleaning the sidewalks and pathways in the
area. I conclude that participating in community service as a student is a
transformative experience that not only benefits the local community but
also nurtures a sense of belonging, empowerment, skill development,
social responsibility.

Community service in our schools is an invaluable experience for me,

which can lead to growth personally, empathy with others as well as on
one’s responsibly in regard to civilization. It enables us to acquire skills
like working in a group, supervision over others, it also fosters
understanding and kindness among individuals who thus learn how to
plan their schedules accordingly so as to observe time. Another
advantage of community service is that it acquaints students.

Assessing first aid and basic life support training can identify strengths,
areas for improvement, and the influence on participants. This
assessment evaluates hitch content, delivery, attendance, skills learned,
self-confidence, problem-solving, and future plans. This ensures
attendees are equipped for emergencies and saves lives, promoting
continuous training in new areas.

Includes reflecting on community service also involves identifying as

well as addressing needs within the community, measuring changes that
can be measured, and or feedback received from one or more members.
Furthermore, through personal development there comes acquisition of
new abilities, overcoming hardships faced so far, and shaping
aspirations.

Programs play an important role in
fostering empathy and civic duty in students. As I participate in these
projects, I learned firsthand how the activities affect the school
environment and the well-being of their peers. This participation helps
me to raise awareness of the importance of preserving community
spaces and the effort required to keep them clean and functional.
Collaborating to achieve a shared objective fortifies ties among the
school community. Participating in cleaning tasks offers vital
environmental lessons. Students become more aware of waste and its
environmental impact, which frequently leads to more sustainable
behaviors and activities. These experiences transform students into
proactive, responsible citizens who are more willing to volunteer in the
community throughout our life.

First aid is the first treatment provided to an injured or ill person before
professional medical help arrives. It comprises skills such as wound
cleansing, bandaging, and minor injury management, which can help to
lessen the severity of an accident and avoid consequences. Having
knowledge of first aid and the basic life support can change someone
from being a bystander to participating and responding actively. This
training builds confidence and preparedness, allowing individuals to deal
with emergencies calmly and accurately. Having the skills to perform
CPR or control heavy bleeding can be empowering because it allows
you to impact emergency situations in a positive way.

Participating in community service to clean the streets has given me a

greater respect for the environment and sense of community pride.
Collaborating with my classmates, I have seen for myself how small,

collective actions can visibly improve our environment and cultivate a

sense of ownership. Besides just cleaning up trash, it's also about
creating a cleaner, safer environment for everyone's enjoyment. This

caring for public areas and has motivated me to promote sustainable
habits in our everyday lives.

My reflection in Community Service (Oval) is that we have unity and

understanding with our cleaning group members, we become more
responsible for what we should do and above all, we appreciate the
value of time that every cleaning we do, it could be more worth it, tired
that we shouldn't waste it, Community Service doesn't just mean
cleaning, but you learn more from each other and how to socialize and
cooperation.

My reflection in First Aid and Basic Life Support is you will learn how to
be responsible when you are needed even if you have no responsibility
for that person, you will understand the word "help without
recompense", in case someone is needed or you encounter someone
who needs First Aid you know you already it and you have an idea on
how to do that, Kuya Marlo said when we studied First Aid, help those
who need help, don't be shy to do what you learn.

My reflection in Alay Linis is a good and so much fun, bonding with

myself to socialize in other people.

At first, I thought completing the 32 hours of cleaning at school (half of
the oval) would be difficult because I have asthma. I thought I couldn't
handle the exhaustion from cleaning, but it turned out to be manageable.
It became easier and quicker when we worked together. When we
started cleaning for three hours a week, the results were good because
of our teamwork, and we completed our tasks efficiently. Sometimes,
during our free time or when there were no classes, we would clean to
finish quickly and move on to other tasks. We increased our cleaning
time to six or ten hours a week, and when we completed the 32 hours, I
realized that no matter how difficult a task is, it becomes easier when
there's teamwork.

My Reflection on School Community Service
This past May 8 our Section was given a task to do and participated in
a school community service project to clean up the oval. While the task
itself was simply picking up trash, litter, and mowing the grass the
experience was far more impactful than I expected. The oval, though a
central part of our school, often seemed overlooked and neglected. The
act of cleaning the oval was not just about removing trash it was about
taking ownership of our shared space. It was about showing respect for
the environment and for the community that uses it. It was also about
fostering a sense of collective responsibility and pride in our school.

The experience also made me realize the impact of seemingly small

actions. The oval, once littered with trash, now looked clean and
inviting. It was a tangible reminder of the power of collective effort and
the importance of taking care of our surroundings. This School
Community Service project taught me valuable lessons about
responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of taking care of our shared
spaces. It was a reminder that even the smallest actions can have a
significant impact. I am grateful for the opportunity to have participated in
this project. It was a humbling experience that made me appreciate the
P a g e | 58

importance of School Community Service and the power of collective

action.

First Aid and Basic Life Support

The recent First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) training I completed
has left a lasting impact on me, equipping me with valuable skills and a
renewed sense of preparedness in emergency situations. The training
covered a wide range of essential skills, from basic wound care and
bandaging to the crucial techniques of CPR. Each skill was meticulously
demonstrated and practiced, allowing me to gain confidence in my
abilities. The hands-on approach, coupled with clear explanations and
real-life scenarios, ensured that the knowledge I acquired was both
practical and applicable.

One of the most impactful aspects of the training was the emphasis on
staying calm and composed under pressure. We learned the importance
of assessing the situation, prioritizing actions, and remaining focused
even in the face of adversity. This newfound understanding of
composure will undoubtedly serve me well, not only in emergency
situations but also in other aspects of my life. The training also
highlighted the significance of teamwork and communication in an
emergency response. We practiced working together as a team,
effectively communicating roles and responsibilities, and ensuring that
everyone was on the same page. This collaborative approach reinforced
the idea that even in the most stressful situations, working together can
make a world of difference.

The experience has instilled in me a sense of responsibility and

empowerment. I now feel more confident in my ability to assist others in
need and to make a positive difference in emergency situations. This
newfound confidence is not only personal but also a testament to the
power of knowledge and training. The First Aid and BLS training has
been a truly transformative experience, equipping me with essential
skills and a renewed sense of preparedness. It has underscored the
importance of taking proactive steps to be ready for unexpected
situations and to contribute positively to the well-being of others.

My participation in "Alay Linis" was an experience that left a deep mark
on me, not only in my understanding of serving the community but also
in my perspective on our environment. At the forefront, my motivation
stemmed from a sense of responsibility. I felt a duty to help maintain the
cleanliness of our surroundings. The idea of cleaning public areas may
seem like a simple task, but as I joined in, I realized its significant
importance.

"Alay Linis" is not just about removing trash; it is about showing care for
our environment. Every piece of litter we picked up and swept away
served as a reminder of our responsibility to take care of our world.
Cleaning the street sides is a way of expressing love and respect for our
community. Through "Alay Linis," I saw the positive impact of our
actions. Places that were once dirty and unpleasant became clean and
inviting. This transformation serves as a reminder that our actions have
the power to make a difference.

This experience left me with a sense of fulfillment and hope. It helped

me understand the importance of serving and the power of our actions to
bring about change. "Alay Linis" is a project that inspires me to continue
striving for a cleaner and more beautiful environment.

beautify our surroundings but also fostered a sense of responsibility
among us students. Taking care of our own environment taught us the
importance of maintaining cleanliness and respecting shared spaces. It
was a valuable lesson in teamwork and civic duty that I'm grateful to

Reflecting on my experience in First Aid and Basic Life Support in

Community Service, particularly in the NSTP program where I learned
first aid and basic life support, has been incredibly enlightening. Not only
did I acquire practical skills that could potentially save lives in
emergencies, but I also developed the importance of community
involvement and preparedness.

During my time in NSTP, I had the opportunity to engage directly with

the community through various activities, including providing first aid
assistance during events and participating in outreach programs.
Learning how to administer CPR, handle wounds, and assess medical
emergencies equipped me with invaluable knowledge that I believe
every responsible citizen should possess.

Moreover, being part of these community service initiatives reinforced

the idea that individual actions can have a significant impact on the well-
being of others. It taught me about empathy, teamwork, and the power of
collective effort in creating a safer and more supportive community
environment.

Overall, my involvement in NSTP's first aid and basic life support training
was not just about acquiring skills; it was about fostering a sense of
responsibility and empowerment to contribute positively to society. I am
grateful for the opportunity to have participated in such meaningful
experiences and look forward to continuing to apply what I've learned to
make a difference in the lives of those around me.

The activities I participated in Paglilinis sa
Oval (School Community Service), First
Aid and Basic Life Support training, and
Alay Linis (Community Service), have
been very rewarding. Engaging in initiatives like Paglilinis sa Oval not
only helps keep our school environment clean and beautiful, but also
teaches us about teamwork, responsibility, and civic duty. Working
together to maintain a clean and organized space has helped me and
my classmates develop a strong sense of ownership and pride in our
school, creating a positive school culture and a stronger sense of
community. The first aid and basic life support training has equipped us
with essential skills that could potentially save lives in emergencies.
Learning how to assess and respond to medical emergencies has made
me and my classmates more prepared and confident in handling
unexpected events, both at school and elsewhere. These skills not only
benefit those who receive immediate assistance but also contribute to
creating a safer environment for the entire school community. Engaging
in community service activities beyond the school, such as participating

broader community. By volunteering our time and energy to clean and
improve public spaces, we demonstrate our commitment to social
responsibility and environmental stewardship. These experiences not
only contribute to the well-being of the community but also help foster
empathy, compassion, and a sense of connectedness among individuals
from diverse backgrounds.
Participating in initiatives like Alay Linis has also provided us with the
opportunity to broaden our perspectives, gain a deeper understanding of
local issues, and develop a sense of solidarity with those in need.

society. Through these experiences, students learn valuable skills,
cultivate important values, and make meaningful contributions to their
communities, ultimately fostering a culture of service, empathy, and
social responsibility that benefits both individuals and society as a whole.

Participating in the community service event at our school, where we

cleaned the half oval despite the intense heat, it was an enriching and
memorable experience. The day was challenging due to high
temperatures, but it underscored the importance of preservance,
teamwork, and community spirit.
The physical labor was strenuous, and there were moments when the
heat felt almost unbearable. We took frequent water breaks and
encourage each other to keep going.
As we cleaned the oval, removing debris, tall grasses and tidying up the
area. The simple visual change we made was a powerful reminder of the
impact of our efforts, no matter how small they might seem individually. It
also highlighted the importance of maintaining our surroundings and the
difference a dedicated group can make in a short amount of time. This
experience taught me several valuable lessons working in the heat
required physical and mental strength. Pushing through discomfort to
achieve a goal is a skill that will benefit me in many aspects of life.
Everyone's contribution, no matter how small, was crucial to the overall
outcome. This reinforced the idea that collaboration can overcome
significant challenges. Taking care of our school environment is a shared
responsibility. By participating in this clean-up, I felt a stronger
connection to my school and a greater sense of pride in contributing to
its upkeep. It also emphasized the need for greater awareness and
responsibility in how we dispose of waste. This experience has inspired
me to be more conscientious about my actions and its impact on the
environment.

School Community Service

Helps students learn and grow, enhancing their understanding of
social responsibility and civic engagement. It connects service
experiences to learning objectives, making the service more meaningful
and educational. Integrating reflection into school community service
encourages advocacy for change, articulating learning, setting goals,
and developing responsibility and wisdom.

First Aid and Basic Life Support

Helps individuals enhance their skills, increase preparedness, and
optimize outcomes in emergency situations. First aid reduces injury
severity and prevents further harm, while basic life support maintains life
functions until advanced treatment is available. Reflecting on these
experiences promotes critical thinking, self-awareness, and skill
development in managing life-threatening incidents, enhancing future
responses.

Community Service
Is a critical component that allows volunteers to introspect, analyze,
and learn from their service experiences. It involves looking back on the
service activities, evaluating personal growth, understanding the impact
of service on oneself and the community, and connecting service
experiences to broader social issues. Reflection may encompass
sharing feelings, reactions, observations, and ideas related to the
service work, fostering a deeper understanding of social responsibility

and civic engagement. It plays a pivotal role in enhancing the volunteer's

learning, empathy, and commitment to serving the community effectively.

T
he activities we've done in our National Service
Training Program give me the chance to make a
contribution to the community or be an individual
that helps the community be better. Like the school community service, by simply
cleaning the school, we are able to contribute to the cleanliness of the campus and
make the school a virtuous one. Although it’s tiring, I'm still glad that we’re able to
keep the school clean. Also, we should remind ourselves that making the school
clean is our responsibility, so even though we don’t have NSTP, we should still do
something to make our school clean. Then, first aid and basic life support give me
the chance to learn how to save people. With this, I realized that this activity is
necessary to learn; it will not just make us knowledgeable but also enable us to save
someone. Actually, this is my third time attending a seminar like this. I’m happy that I
have the chance to attend this seminar because I'll be able to refresh the knowledge,
I’ve gained from it, which will help me remember things to do to save a person. And,
for community service, we narrowed down the street in Bagong Bayan and cleaned
the roadside. By cleaning those, we make a change in their community, and although
we cleaned only for a day, at least we were able to make their community clean.
Lastly, I realized that being part of these activities helps me, as an individual, to grow
and be a good citizen. The activities taught me that the National Service Training
Program is not just a course to complete; it's a course that purposely makes the
youth responsibly.
