Methodology

This chapter clearly defines the research methods used to conduct the study. The

researchers explain how the necessary data and information to address the research

objectives and questions were collected, presented, and analyzed. Reasons and

justifications or the research design, research instruments, data sources, data collection

techniques, data presentation techniques and analytical techniques used are given.

Research Design

This study structured upon an experimental design which is descriptive

qualitative design. The quantitative research is represented by numerical data resulted

from collection of ages 33, 34, 36, 38, 42 years old.

In reference to the specific type of quantitative research design that is being

used, this study is classified as a quantitative experimental design. This design includes

the age, for the participants are those who are part of an already intact group. There is

only one group of students who will undergo tutorial sessions. Therefore, these students

serve as experimental group. In general, this simple design logically analyzes the ages

on its participants.

Respondents of the Study

The respondents of the study consist of five ex-convicts who have been jailed in
Panabo City Jail. The genders of the selected respondents are all male.
Data Gathering Procedure

The group of respondents are administered a survey are used to identify their

height and weight and most of the respondent’s height were 175, 167, 170, 172, 175 by

cm and the respondent’s weight are 66, 63, 67, 68, 65 by kilograms. The result will

employ the formula of mean, variance, and standard deviation.

167 167 – 171.8 = -4.8 (1.8) ² = -23.04

170 170 – 171.8 = -1.8 (-3.2) ² = -3.24

172 172 – 171.8 = 0.2 (-1.2) ² = 0.04

125 125 – 171.8 = 3.2 (3.8) ² = 10.24

Conclusion:

Therefore, the mean is 171.8 and the variance is 29.2, and lastly is

the standard deviation is 5.4037.

As the data gathered, Finding the average (mean), the difference between the
data (variance, and the distance from the data and average (standard deviation). It
concludes that the average mean of height is 163, the variance is 29.2, and the
standard deviation is 5.4037. Then the average mean of weight is 65.8, the variance
2.96, and the standard deviation 2.7204.

Result and Conclusion

The present study is an attempt to determine the height and weight of the ex-
convicts who have been jailed in Panabo City Jail. As stated in the previous chapter, the
researchers selected five ex-convicts in the Panabo City area.
