PCOIP Configuration

This document elaborates the steps to be followed during PCOIP configuration for

Single, Dual and Quad monitors.

STEP 1: Host card installation in PC.

 Install Host Card (Dual/Quad) in 4th slot manually in their respective PC’s.

STEP 2: PCOIP Host card driver software installation in PC.

 Connect DP cable at DPP X71 port of PC to Monitor DP port, Then Power on the PC
 Connect USB Drive where Host driver setup is stored and then run application
PcoipHostSoftware_x64-v4.0.8 to finish the installation.
 Follow the steps as shown in below images.
STEP 3: PCOIP Host card IP assignment.

 Connect your PC’s Host card Ethernet port to another Computer or Laptop for IP assignment via
standard Ethernet cable.
 Because Host card default IP address is 192.168.1.101, so define your Computer or Laptop IP in
this range.
 Ping Host card default IP address 192.168.1.101, wait until ping responds.
 Open web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.) on your Computer or Laptop and type
Host card default IP address 192.168.1.101 and click “Enter” button.

 Teradici PCoIP Log in page should appear on screen, as shown in image below.
 Password not required for Log in here, just click “Log In” button.
 Teradici PCoIP Homepage should appear on screen, as shown in image below.

 Go to “Configuration” menu and click on “Network”.

 Remove the Tick of “Enable DHCP”.


 Enter IP address and subnet mask as per your requirement.
 Enter Default Gateway as 0.0.0.0
 Click “Apply” button.

 IP address is changed successfully, now click “Continue” button as shown in below image.

 A window should appear as shown in below image.


 On Host PC, go to start and search for “PCoIP Host Software” and open, in Network tab you can
see the Host card IP address is assigned.

 Change your Computer or Laptop’s IP address in the range of newly updated IP address of Host
card.
 Open web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.) again on your Computer or Laptop
and type Host card newly assigned IP address (e.g. 172.16.12.10) and click “Enter” button.
 In case this window appear, then click on “Advanced” button as shown in below image.

 Click on option as shown in below image.

 Again Log in window will appear as shown in below image.


 Password not required here as well.
 Just click “Log In” button.
 Homepage should appear.
 Go to “Permissions” menu and click “USB”.

 Here we define Authorization to USB devices.


 For project specific, we are allowing “Human Interface Device”.
 As shown in below image, under Authorized Devices click on “Add new” button.
 As shown in below image, under Authorized Devices, select device class as “Human Interface
Device” as shown in image and click on “Add” button.

 As shown in below image, under Unauthorized Devices, select 10 Device classes separately click
on “Add” button. (Note - these are project specific classes), click on “Apply” button.
 As shown in below image, Click “Continue”.

STEP 4: Host card and Zero Client Configuration.

 Connect Keyboard and Mouse on backside of Zero client.


For Single monitor configuration

 Connect Ethernet cable between Host card Ethernet port to Zero Client Ethernet port.
 Connect DVI cable at DVI X70 port to First port of host card in PC side.
 Connect Single Monitor’s DP cable to “First” port of Zero Client.
 Power on Zero client.

For Dual monitor configuration

 Connect Ethernet cable between Host card Ethernet port to Zero Client Ethernet port.
 Connect DP cable at DPP X71port to First port of host card in PC side.
 Connect DVI cable at DVI X70 port to Second port of host card in PC side.
 Connect Two Monitor’s DP cable to “First” and “Second” ports of Zero Client.
 Power on Zero client.

For Quad monitor configuration

 Connect Ethernet cable between Host card Ethernet port to Zero Client Ethernet port.
 Connect DP cable at DPP X71port to First port of host card in PC side.
 Connect DP cable at DPP X72port to Second port of host card in PC side.
 Connect DVI cable at DVI X70 port to Third port of host card in PC side.
 Connect Mini DP to DP adapter at First port of Mini DP card and connect DP cable at Mini DP
adapter to Fourth port of host card in PC side.
 Connect Four Monitor’s DP cable to all 4 ports of Zero Client.
 Power on Zero client.

Zero Client configuration

 After powering on PC and Zero Client, window should open as shown in below image.
 Click “Options” button as shown and select “Configuration”.

 Click “Unlock” button.

 Click “OK” button, password not required.


 Untick “Enable DHCP” and enter IP address as required and keep other settings as shown in
below image. Then click “Apply” button.

 Click “Reset” button.


 After reset, window should appear as shown in below image.
 Go to Options and Click “User Settings” button.

 Go to “Display Topology” tab.


 For Quad monitor configuration select Layout as “Box”, as shown in below image, click “Apply”
button.
 For Single and Dual monitor configuration select Layout as “Horizontal”, as shown in below
image, click “Apply” button.

 Now click Connect in home screen.


 You can see your Host card IP address then click “OK”.

 Your PCoIP Configuration is done.
