Bổ Đà Pagoda Bài Nói
a special national historical-architectural and artistic relic site in 2016. The pagoda is located on
Phuong Hoang mountain (Bo Da Pagoda). Da Son), north of Cau River, in Tien Son commune,
Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province. Here, standing on the top of the mountain, you can
observe the entire Nhu Nguyet River Line, which marks the nation's history for generations. This
is also the place where mountains and waters harmonize, the river looks like a mountain, the
scenery and space are tinged with legends, just like the poems of the ancients:

Bo Da Pagoda also has another name: Quan Am Pagoda. According to historical data, the
Pagoda dates back to the Ly Dynasty (XI century) and was restored and expanded in 1720
under Le Trung Hung and later periods. The pagoda worships the three religions (Three
religions are of the same origin): Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Combined worship of
THẠCH LINH THẦN TƯỚNG and TRÚC LÂM TAM TỔ. Therefore, the Buddha statue system
at Bo Da Pagoda is decorated according to the LÂM TẾsect, combining indigenous folk beliefs
and Taoism.
Bo Da Pagoda relic area includes: Ancient pagoda called Bo Da Pagoda (also known as Quan
Am Pagoda, or Cao Pagoda), TỨ ÂN TỰ main pagoda, Tam Duc Am, Tower Garden and
Temple Pond. In addition, on Bo Da mountain there is also a temple worshiping Duc Thanh Hoa
(ie Thach Linh Than General - the person who helped the king fight against foreign invaders).
The earthen wall from the entrance gate and surrounding the inner area of Tu An Pagoda was
built according to the slope with a height of 1.8 - 5m, leveled from low to high with ocher soil on
Bo Da Mountain, on top of the wall. covered with pieces of Tho Ha pottery, jars, jars... Over
time, the walls have been soaked by rain and have turned mossy, adding to the ancient look of
the temple.In particular, "Bo Da pagoda tower garden" is considered the most beautiful and
largest in Vietnam. The tower garden was built according to the specific and very strict
regulations of the Zen sect. With more than 100 stupas lined up, row after row, where relics and
ashes of more than 2,000 monks and nuns are stored. Legend has it that on full moon days
here, those who have their eyes opened will see light shining from the ancient towers.
With precious cultural values and great spiritual significance along with actual numbers, the
Tower Garden and Wood Sutras of Bo Da Pagoda have been recognized by the Vietnam
Records Organization as "The Largest Tower Garden in Vietnam". and "The oldest set of
Buddhist sutra woodblocks of the Lam Te Zen sect carved on wood".
Am Tam Duc
Am Tam Duc was built at the same time as Tu An Pagoda. The monks at the pagoda named
the temple "Tam Duc" because they hoped that people practicing here would be wise to three
virtues: Wisdom, Virtue, and Grace. This is also the place to worship Patriarch Pham Kim Hung
after he passed away.
The Bo Da Pagoda relic complex is one of the most characteristic features of Bac Giang
province in general and Viet Yen district in particular, helping our province not to be confused
with any other region in the country. Besides, Bo Da Pagoda also brings economic value to
people, to the locality and to the whole nation. From the above great roles, we need to be
conscious of protecting and developing the precious values of Bo Da so that the pagoda will
always be beautiful and live with time.

same time, it also regulates the rights and responsibilities of each citizen towards Bo Da. In

the temple.

Pagoda relics. For example, we should be educated that we must not harm or insult cultural
