Introduction
What is Physics?
Physics is the science that studies the structure of matter and the interactions of the universe's
fundamental elements. Its subject matter includes not only the behavior of things when subjected to
specific forces, but also the nature and genesis of gravitational, electromagnetic, and nuclear force
fields.
A fan blows hot air across a water-soaked pad in an air cooler. Water evaporates and cools the
air as it flows through the pad. The cooled air is subsequently recirculated throughout the space. In
hot weather, air coolers are an excellent method to stay cool. They have higher cooling power than
fans and are far less expensive than air conditioners. A water tank, an absorbent sheet, and a fan are
the three primary components of an air cooler. Fill the tank with cold water and let the absorbent
sheet to absorb it. The air around the sheet cools as the water evaporates from it. The fan blows this
newly cooled air into your room for a natural, refreshing feeling.
Our air coolers also include a secret weapon; they all feature two complementary ice packs. You
may freeze them and drop them in the water tank to chill the water even more for more effective
cooling. Because air coolers are less sophisticated than air conditioners, they require far less
maintenance. All you actually need to do is replace the water in the tank on a daily basis. This will
keep the water from stagnating.
Air coolers utilize less energy and no refrigerants, making them a more cost-effective and
ecologically friendly option than typical air conditioners. Air coolers, on the other hand, may not be
the ideal solution for persons living in humid climates since they generate additional moisture, which
adds even more humidity to the air.
Concept
Thermodynamics Perspective
The science of the connection between heat, work, temperature, and energy is known as
thermodynamics. In general, thermodynamics is concerned with the movement of energy from one
location to another and from one form to another. The basic idea is that heat is a type of energy that
corresponds to a specific quantity of mechanical labor.
Heat is the mobility of molecules at the atomic level. The hotter the solid/liquid/gas is, the
faster they travel. This results in molecules zipping about and bouncing off the walls in a heated gas.
Molecules vibrate where they sit in a heated solid, transferring their vibrations to any
slower-vibrating neighbors via the springy molecular connections that keep the solid together.
Cold is the lack of heat in the same way that darkness is the absence of light. The purpose of
a cooler, then, is to keep the heat out rather than the "coldness" in. The effectiveness of a cooler will
be determined by three major factors: insulation, air, and ice.
Evaporative Cooling
Evaporative cooling, also known as adiabatic cooling, operates on the idea of water evaporation to
chill the air to a comfortable temperature. It is a cooling and ventilation method that use water as a
refrigerant.
Water evaporates in an air stream and converts from a liquid to a gas during the evaporative cooling
process. This transformation necessitates the extraction of energy from the air in the form of heat.
The air gets cooled as a result of this process.
Application
The severity of the climatic conditions has been exacerbated by humans' daily activities on
Earth. Several human actions have contributed to the earth's global warming. As we all know, the
ozone layer serves to prevent direct solar rays from being released by the sun. Because of the effects
of global warming, the ozone layer is gradually reduced, which has considerably contributed to the
unfavorable circumstances we face throughout the summer. Summers are often exceedingly hot,
necessitating the installation of an Air Cooler.
An air conditioner is essential, especially during the summer. Life has recently become much
more bearable as a result of the amount of technological advancements we currently embrace.
Throughout the day, the heat from the sun may be rather irritating for an individual because no one
loves to be sweaty. This type of pain can be alleviated by using an Air Cooler. This technical
advancement has aided in several ways because its role is to cool heated air, making it more
comfortable to dwell. An Air Cooler may also be used to humidify the air.
An air cooler usually refers to an electrical device that assists in reducing the temperature of
air, resulting in coolness and comfortability. If you are having a really hot and uncomfortable day and
need a way to stop it, then an Air Cooler is very important.
An air cooler not only cools the air, but it also helps to humidify it. Humidification is the act of
adding water molecules (in the form of moisture) to air to prevent it from becoming completely dry.
The presence of extended dry chilly air might result in several health issues, hence air humidification
is critical.
