Time Travelers can’t pack a whole lot of luggage, so it sure is nice to
have that one piece that can be worn more than 40 ways! If you’re going to be traveling
anywhere, you know you need to cut down on what you pack by utilizing the most versatile
pieces you own, pieces that can be worn in all weather, transition from day to night, and
from casual to more formal. Is there such a piece? There is now! This wrap can be draped and
tied so many ways, you can wear it every day and it will look like you have an unlimited
wardrobe. You can wear it everywhere: at the beach, out to dinner, visiting all the tourist
spots, and hiking through the heather. I’ve come up with 42 styles with this one wrap so far,
let me know if you invent something new!

Finished Size: Adult, 36” x 70”.

Difficulty: Advance beginner.

Materials Needed: 4 skeins (364 yards each) of Red Heart Super Saver in Coordinating or
Contrasting colors. I used Magenta, Rouge, Fuchsia, and Purple (Violet). The colors remind
me of the Heather in Scotland. US Size H (5.0mm) crochet hook. You can substitute any
worsted weight yarn in any fiber. I used 4 different colors for decidedly different looks when
wearing, but you could use any number of colors, or just one color if you choose. If you’re
going to change colors in an alternate pattern, consider a color change every 4th, 8th, 12th, or
16th row.

Stitches & Abbreviations (instructions in US terms):

Ch: Chain

Sc: Single Crochet

Tr: Treble crochet {yo hook twice, insert the hook into st as directed, yo, pull up a loop, (yo,
pull through 2 loops) x 3}

Gauge: In single crochet, using US size H (5.0 mm) hook, 16 st = 4"/10 cm

Pattern Note: Chain 1 (ch-1) does not count as the first st in the next row. If the next row
begins with a sc, it should be worked in the top of the very last sc in the previous row unless
otherwise noted, as in where the previous row begins/ends with chains/treble crochet.
Instructions:

(Ties)

Short Ties:

(Make 2 for styles shown, but using 3 or 4 ties will yield several more styles to wear.) Ch 61,
sc in second ch from hook, sc in ea Ch across. Cut yarn and weave in end. The ties are NOT
sewn or attached in any way to the wrap, but threaded through the spaces in the wrap and
used to secure the wrap in many different ways.

Long Tie:

(Make 1. Optional. This can be used to join the front by criss-cross lacing up a short section,
creating a poncho.) Ch 101, sc in second ch from hook, sc in ea Ch across. Cut yarn and weave
in end.
Special thanks to the pattern testers for their beautiful work, tremendous talent and infinite
