    PK-40 - Dryer Cabinet

    Use
    The PK 40 Dryer Cabinet is intended for drying and storing welding electrodes in the temperature
    range 50 - 350 oC. Due to the risk for injuries or material damage the unit must not be used for
    other than its intended purpose, and not in violation of these instructions.

    Before use
    Check the unit for transport damage. Do not connect a faulty unit to the mains. Check that the
    voltage and frequency marked on the rating plate match the values of the mains to which the unit is
    to be connected.

    Location and connection to mains


    To avoid overheating, the clearance to any material must be no less than 0,5 m on any side and no
    less than 1 m above the unit. Make sure that there are no obstacles to the airflow around the unit and
    no flammable material closer to the unit than the distances mentioned above. The unit must never
    be covered. Place the unit on a flat surface. The unit may not be used in environments where there
    is danger of explosion (EX).

    Using the unit


    Take the welding electrodes out of their package. Connect the unit to the mains. Set the desired
    temperature with the thermostat. The red hand of the thermostat indicates the temperature set, and
    the black hand the current temperature in the cabinet. The red indicator light is lit whenever the unit
    is connected to the mains. The green indicator light is lit when the heating resistor is on. Set the
    drying temperature recommended by the manufacturer of the electrodes. To ensure sufficient
    ventilation of the interior of the unit, the ventilation opening in the door must be open whenever the
    unit is operative. Avoid opening the door unnecessarily during operation, as this will lower the
    temperature of the cabinet.

    Disconnect the unit from the mains when it is not in use.
